Last Friday Lunch....
|
Today as we ate lunch, I reminded the girls this was our last Friday here....next Thursday is moving day. WOW! Can it really be less than a week now?
We are all VERY excited and thankful to the Lord. Today I spent the day packing, cleaning, and on the phone -- starting/stopping all the utilities. We have been here 8 years....all those memories...(sigh).....it is strange seeing the empty closets....
We are ready for the next chapter of our lives. I think it is coming at a good time. When we first moved here to this big home, we imagined a family with 3-4 children. The Lord has had a different plan for us -- and we have discovered we don't need a house this size. While I still have occasional moments wishing for another baby, I fully trust Him and love it that He knows what is best for our family.
I think Darren and I are also just ready for a change in our lives. Some might call it a midlife crisis.....whatever it is, we are happy about it and feel peace from the Lord.

Just think! 4 more nights in your Newcastle home! We are excited about having you closer! We will be able to see you, Darren, and most importantly, two wonderful grandaughters!
I can just see those girls coming over to "help" grandma, sit at the organ, and on and on!!
Sleep well, and have pleasant dreams about PL and the convergence zone!

and that the unpacking will go quickly.
I'm on a mission to spread Christmas cheer tonight and to that end, am cyber caroling (just invented it! lol) So, without further ado:
"Hark! the herald angels sing,
Glory to the newborn King,
peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconcile.
Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
join the triumph of the skies;
with the angelic host proclaim,
'Christ is born in Bethlehem'
Hark! the herald angels sing,
Glory to the newborn King."
