The Homesteading Carnival #101
This is my first time to host the Homesteading Carnival . I'm still excited and a little nervous. There was a miscommunication (or something) that hindered me from receiving any "official" submissions to the carnival until today. However, we're going to make the most of it! (Since there was some delay, I will forego the Father's Day theme that I suggested earlier. Sorry if I've disappointed anyone too much.)
Dana of A Very Nearly Tea has pictures of the property they plan to purchase. Despite the weeds, sticks, and other things that have seemed to clog up the surrounding gardens, chicken run, dog run, etc.; she has chosen to see the unlimited potential that such a treasure holds.
Tammy of Simply Beck’s Bounty explains the woes of a new tractor as compared to the joys of an old one. Referencing a need to recycle and a return to “how they used to do things,” she shares pictures of their new-to-them 1963 tractor/mower.
Bobbie of The Backyard Grower gives us the benefits of blueberries as well as what some local (just outside Norfolk, Virginia)
How about some blueberry cobbler or blueberry muffins?
Miss Amanda (aka SuperAngel) of The Daily Planet shares (in pictures and words) how she painted her room . She includes details on how she accomplished getting two different colors on the walls without overlapping them.
Miss Thrifty shares a frugal recipe using frozen eggplant, or as she and others in Britain call it, "aubergines." It sounds quite good and is meatless.
