The Weekend..

Well this weekend we decided to catch up on some

Errands we needed to do….

We left the kids at home while we went to do them

which I am sure they appreciated… LOL J

While David went to the bank and to pick up

his dry cleaners he dropped me off at the

scrapbook store…. J **big smiles***

I just love looking in those stores and yeah

I want everything… LOL.. I did buy only

four papers one is for the 4th of July

pictures of Disney we just had..

When he picked me up we went to take

a sample of the pool water to get it

Checked for chemicals…

Then I was hungry… David says  I am

always hungry… LOL so we went

to Stake and Shake nothing fancy just

Nice with out the kids… LOL

It gives us time to just talk to each other,

while we wore sitting there, on the other

booth was an older lady which seemed

to be talking to her self? I could not see

any other person in the booth?

She seemed to be carrying a

conversation it was weird I could not see

or hear any one ells..???

Well when her food was brought to her

a little head popped from the both it must

of been her grandchild…. Funny how things

are not always what they seem… LOL

Anyways we came home and relaxed by

the pool…

Hope everyone had a nice weekend..

The 4th of July

Well we had not come up with a game plan for the

4th of July… But that morning we decided to

drive to Orlando only 60 miles away..

We went to Disney Quest which is 3 stories

of fun things to do like 3-D Pirates of the

Caribbean where we all shot canons at bad

guy…(I just love that game)… We all 4 play

at the same time… J

Around 4 p.m. we decided to go to Magic

Kingdom since we saw in yahoo how great

their fire works are…

Before getting off the car I told hubby and

son we should bring umbrella or ponchos…

Their reply, “Naw it won’t rain and if it does

we go into a store…”

It was a beautiful day here in the

Sunshine sate, that is until it started to

Rain…    :o

Well guess what… it poured down rain I was

wearing a hat my little brother gave me from

the army so it was water repellent but that

was the only thing that did not get wet…

Well the rain passed as it does here in

FL and sunshine and humidity arise… LOL

So much for curling my hair that morning…

The fireworks wore just amazing

all over the park… it was a bit crowded but

it reminded me of the Los Angeles Fwy… LOL

Hope you all had a fun 4th… ***Suzie***

What I have been doing lately

Well I have been a little busy lately…

My daughter wanted me to make her some

Pjs since her old ones are getting small…

I am sure you can all relate to me….

Seems to me I buy the kids clothes

every summer and winter????

She picked the material she liked

Then I sewed them for her…

They came out okay I guess not

bad for not being a professional

seamstress… LOL J

While sewing I enjoy listening

to Christian music and being

thankful for His amazing blessings… J

This is my first year of not helping in

VBS our church building is not done

yet and we also don’t quite have

enough kids yet…

I can but wonder if it’s God’s way of

telling me to just sit still and enjoy

the summer???

Well I hope you all also enjoying

your summer time…

First Summer Tropical Storm "Alberto"

Well for this California girl the summer lightning and

thunder is not my favorite part of  Florida... ;p

Today we are expected to get hit by that storm...

The cat is low crawling to nearest bed to hide... LOL

Lost electricity two times but is comes back quick...

It does get dark which is kinda eerie for the

sunshine state.... :)

The fun part is my mom called this morning to

check on me and this afternoon my sister

in law (Annie) called from Texas to check on

me...

I'ts kinda fun getting all this attention :) I am

not worried about it...

It is also strange cause I keep thinking I need

to bake cookies cause its raining... LOL

That is what I use to do in California when it

rained.... :)  Well I am off to bake some

cookies....

Hope you all have a great day!

Okay its official do not let me go to mall

Today my daughter woke up and asked if I could

take her to the mall... She had gotten a gift

certificate for her birthday... (way back in Feb.)

She wanted to get some new earings... To be

honest I did not feel like it but then I felt

guilty because for the past few months she has

asked and I have said, "No,  I have too much

to do"... and she has not complained or whined...

So off we are to the mall with hubby....

As we wore walking to find the store I said, "Oh

look they have a sale on shorts can I look?"

Big mistake.... yep, I just had to try them on...

Then show hubby and daughter... both said,

"Mom they look nice buy them"....

It does not take to much to talk me into buying

clothes... LOL... ;p

Well, then we see a cute top to go with shorts,

then the I saw some pretty sandals.... =)

Yep, it is official do not take me to the mall...

Well then we finally made it to the earing store

and she was able to get her earings....

While at the store she said to me....

"Mom, I have been thinking.... I am going

to get my masters so I can meet a smart

man with his masters so I can do what I

really want to do with my life....

I smiled and said oh yeah... what is that

she replied take care of tigers... they don't

get paid much so I need someone to

support me.... LOL....

It was very hard not to laugh... =)

But at the same time she had a point too...

So I just said okay good plan.... and

smiled...

I guess we will see what happens....

LOL... too cute....

Hope you all have a wonderful

weekend... *** Suzie ***  =)

It was a fun lunch

Even though I don't think my chicken had

lots of flavor, my home made bread did

not rise, and my frosting sort of melted??

It was just fun and relaxing to have lunch

with such sweet ladies... :)  -

I love their honesty, sense of humor, and most

of all they are so real...  =)

We all three have a lot in common  :)

Even though we drive 45 min to church

it is all worth it because of the amazing

teaching... (Calvary way... we go

through the Bible bigining to end)and

the wonderful people who attend :)

My kids wore wonderful hosts they kept

pastor's son busy playing in the pool the

whole time from 1 p.m. till 5 p.m..

Hope you all had a great day yesturday :)

Having Pastor's wives for lunch

Tomorrow I am having the pastor's wife and

the assitant pastors wife for lunch...

I just wanted to have them over to be served

for a change since they seem to always be

serving and helping others...

I made chicken cacciatore, salad, home made

bread and chocolate cake with orange frosting.

I enjoy having a few people over and relaxing

talking and getting to know eachother better...

I also want them to know that they are

appreciated and feel so blessed to be their

friend.... :)

I told my kids they can be a host to the pastor's

son which is 8 I think... They will swim with

him and play board games..   :)

I pray that tomorrow's lunch will be a blessing

for my sisters in the LORD... :)

Hope you are all having a good Monday!

Kids enjoyed their friends :) at our new house

Well it was a fun day Friday :) we had our friends

over for swiming and table games and it was fun

while the kids played on the pool, I could hear

them all laughing and having a good time.... :)

My friend and I sat inside the air condition and

talked and shared home school war stories :) LOL

We had coffee and I made a chocolate cake...

Then when hubby called telling me he was coming

home he asked what he could bring home for dinner

I said hmm.... Apple Bee's love their salad...

He brought home dinner it was nice...

Then I said lets go see a movie... he agreed :)

I saw the Da Vinci code.... oh it was boring

and it was totally fiction... I did not think it was

a good movie at all... everyone in the movie

theater where like whatever... ?? Not sure what

all the hype is about?? I'ts only Fiction....

I know its meant to confuse or question your

beliefs in Christ but it made me realized how lost

some people are because they don't really know

the TRUTH... and I wonder if they really want

to know the truth??

But then again the Bible says "everyone will know"

And "Every knee shall bow and tongue confess that

Jesus Christ is LORD!"...

I am thankful I am saved.... :)

Hope you all had a good weekend...

Suzie  :)

I just love summer

This morning I got up and had my usual coffee and donut and

Bible time.. Then I looked around and thought okay the living

room, dinning room, my room and guest room need their

curtains up... I had asked a friend to help last week, but she

was busy... I understanad no worries, I had asked hubby to

help but I was not feeling good on Monday (Holiday) and

so they just sat by the windows...

Today I said no more asking, just do it yourself... I can do it..

Well after I figured out that I was putting the scone (which

holds curtain up) the wrong way... My son saw my frustration

and said let me try... So he did and I realized what I was
doing... Then I started to put holes with the drill... When

I hit metal in the wall a few times??? so  I made more holes...

Yikes but good thing you can see them.. LOL I will spakle them...

I fainally put all of them up and realized I am one scone

short in my room... grrr  I will get it this weekend...

I then decided to check the pool water for chemicals and

go get some pool toys.... little basketball, football, frezbe,

and some sort of contraption that catches the ball???

Since the kids are having some friends over tomorrow

I figure this way they can play with something...

I figure I'll have popcorn, chips and cup cakes with some

7up and lemon aid...  =)

I also realize that hubby reads my blog everyday =) hmm

dunno why? but its kinda cute... He is and will always be

my prince charming.... =) maybe he will let me get a

mirror for guest room, shears for our bathroom, little table

and mirror for front entrance this weekend???? -

=)  will see???

Have a great day.... - Suzie -

Convention was exausting

Well the Orlando convention was very draining...

However, I was able to check new curriculum and

other materials available to homeschoolers...

I was done by 4 p.m. and wanted to go see how

my hubby and kids had done at the water park..

I was not able to get a hold of them till 5 p.m.

Guess they wore having too much fun  =)

I went to dinner with some friends at the

Cheese cake factory and that was yummy...

Then hubby and the kids picked me up...

When hubby asked if I got all I needed,

I said, yep! we are all set for next year....

Oh yeah I only charged $2,000.00 hope

that is okay? (hides face)  He said, wow

whatever you think is good... =)  (phew)

We headed for the Magic Kingdom and

the kids said they missed me and they did

not like going places without me... :) hmm

Too funny ha, they would not leave my

sight and had to give me deatail information

about their day... LOL  for teenagers they

sure like talking to me... would have

thought they would have enjoyed a day

without mom?? :)

We had fun at the Kingdom and saw the

fireworks and headed for hotel.  I think as

soon as my head hit the pillow I was gone...

We sure enjoyed the 3 days there even

though I had a migrane, I kept taking meds

which helped... It sure was a hot weekend

and lots of people at the parks... :)

Well I guess that makes it official summer

is here.... Hope everyone had a nice weekend...

looking good out side my family room...

So I went into my room and got my bathing suit

I guess the kids heard me splashing and I was

also listening to Castin Crowns on so they

came out and jumped in... we played a

few games and I made them their favorite lunch...

Smoothies, they like strawberries, peach yougurt,

bananas, orange juice and a little whipped cream...

We drank them by the pool and talked about

how great it is to live in such a nice place and

with so much sunshine...

We officially do not miss California...

well maybe just the great restaurants

by the beach??? hmm.... :)

Well around 2 p.m I got out went to take a

shower and went to bonus room to scrapbook...

I have done about 11 pages :) and I also

have been playing a game in the

computer called Rose...

Thanks to my soon who got me hooked on it..  :)

I did make dinner for hubby,

I made Samon, I baked it with red peppers,

cilantro, onion, butter, salt, peper, garlic and lemon...

yummy I just made it up as I went along...

Oh yeah and potatoes, I cut red potatoes, put oil

and onion, garlic, seasoning salt, pepper,

basil and anything ells I could find that would taste good...

And guess what they wore yummy :) "Paula Dean" move

over new kid on the block... LOL

some times I amaze my self  :) LOL

And cut up some big tomatoes and some cuban bread...

Then we took my daugher Lindsey to get shorts at

Target, wish she would stop growing... LOL

she would love to wear my clothes, but is too young

for them still, however, not sure I would share

I spend too much money on my stuff and

would not like it stain... LOL...

Well I am off to packing for our fun weekend,

hope you all have a great weekend!

Suzie  :)

Nursery Duty was Fun.... :)

I do nursery duty once a moth at church, which

I really enjoy... Though I miss my pastors

teaching I know... God is smilling down on me.

I think is good for the mom's whose kids are

teenagers to volunteer in the nursery... I also

have my daughter help... ;) Since she is the

youngest it will give her a good feel for babies..

I also feel that the young moms need the 1 hr.

to relax and sit at Jesus feet and learn His word.

When I was a young mom with babies I was

doing nursery all the time since they needed

help and had no time to attend church...

I did not like that but realized I had no

choice...So now that my kids are older

I don't want another mom to feel like

I did...  :)

Besides since I only have 2 kids I really

do enjoy those babies... and I really

like the part when I go home and take

a nap :) LOL... is the only day I can

take a nap :) since it is the day of

rest... :)

Hope you all had a blessed weekend..

Suzie

Yeah my new way to review stuff worked... :)

I was so excited to see that my idea about

making index cards with vocabulary words

and their definitions on the back was a fun

game to play at dinner time… J

I talked to my sister in law which graduated

From Texas AMT and is now teaching, but

was looking to get her Masters… She

(Annie) told me that vocabulary is a big

part of the SAT and also for your Masters

so I decided to start now..

I got the words from a book a friend

let me check out for better SAT scores

My 9th grader did not know all the words

though we do Vocabulary there is just

A lot he still does not know…

I took about 20 of them told them the

definition and then began to play

for points and Dad played too..

It was fun to see them being

competitive and really try to learn

them.. J  We will continue through

out the summer and probably in

the fall too… I am sure it will be a

big help for both when they test again.

Not mentioning the fact that we will

also expand our vocabulary too. J

Have a great week…

Suzie

My mother's day :)

Well I sure had a nice Mother’s day J

I woke up and hubby had coffee from

Dunkin donuts and my favorite donuts.

Well I open my presents my kids got

me and Lindsey did do a good job

at picking shorts and a top…

The shorts are a little short but

I guess that is all there is out there..

My son got my slippers for he

House… J

Then off to church, as usual it was

awesome.. I just love church…

Then hubby wanted to take me to

Joe’s crab shack, in Daytona Bch.

However, I knew there was not

one there, instead of getting

Frustrated I decided to just be

Thankful and talk to God.

After 20 min. he realized I was

right so he headed for Sanford,

which would have been another

20 min.  So I suggested we go

To the club house which in our

New house development..

Hoping you did not need

reservations… at this point

I am now starving…

We get there and she said

Oh no problem its only

$35.00 for adults and $19.00

For kids…I looked at David

And he said yeah that’s good..

Well the atmosphere by the

Golf course was great and

The food delicious… J

It was a great brunch and they had

So much of it.. I really enjoyed it --- Suzie J
