We arrived at NASCAR SpeedPark at 11 am (when they opened); we left at 9:15pm (just before closing). Lots of hours of fun racing, mini-golf, and games. The bumper boats were closed...something about water and the cool air? Oh, well...such a fun time was had by all.

I grew up just a few miles from Bristol and I miss the race excitement.

I live in Houston now and I do love it. Thanks for sharing your blog. Tennessee will always be home.

how cool is that!! My DH got to drive a nascar car at Dover Downs in Deleware one time. I got to ride as a passenger in the pace car. The speed was incredible!! Too cool.

We live about 25 minutes from Daytona. It's fun to go out there BEFORE the races. While shopping at stores around it - you can hear the race cars practicing. We never venture down there on the days of the races though.. way to much traffic.

Have a great week.

10 HOURS!! Oh, my, Betsy! You are one cool, fun Mom! I would have never made it. We pass the Speedpark all the time, but have never been there. I'm sure Marissa would love it, and probably Briana, too, but we just stick with the go carts at the Track. They have a Chicken Mom!
I am so sorry about your kitty.
Briana's 3 year old cat disappeared back in the spring, too. This has definitely not be the year of the cat at our house. We've had cats here for 16 years, and only had one other 3 year old one disappear (Briana's again) about 4 years ago.
Thanks for your comments. We're doing good, and I know compared to other people's difficulties all of that was nothing. We're just mostly tired now, and Ashley is trying to get sick on me.

I went over to see your kitty's pictures. He was so adorable, and you're right, he does look amazing like Pepper, especially when Pepper was young. We buried Pepper yesterday, and that was very hard. Even James cried a ton of tears, I think probably a mixture of sadness over Pepper and hurting for Ashley. Bless his heart. He has buried too many beloved pets in our marriage.
Hope everyone there is doing better.

but please do not let my girls know how long ya"ll stayed there. They think there is a time limit after the first 2 hours !! I am just joking.

The last coupke of times we were up there, it would be raining when we would plan to stop there.

Thanks for sharing the pictures!!

Thanks for your offer. I will email the dates tomorrow, if it's looking like we will go. That would make us feel so much better.

We live in Abingdon, VA and have been here under 2 years. My boys LOVE Nascar and we SO wish we had known about the Speedpark a few months ago! We're making plans to go in April I think! We'll be going to the Bristol track to see the Christmas lights next week. That's pretty cool!
