We
were off for a drive - my family and I. A wonderful 45 min drive, in
beautiful weather. As is my custom, I took my knitting bag, so I could
use my time wisely and keep my hands busy. I must admit, my eyes were
on my handiwork more then the road in front of us (don't worry, I
wasn't driving), but suddenly the van screached and slowed quickly, as
the car in front of us slammed on it's breaks and we followed suit.
I braced
myself against the dash, then watched in horror as the extra large cup
of tea that my husband had picked up on the way slowly, as if in slow
motion, tipped forward, emptying it's contents directly into my
knitting tote, which held the balls of navy and artic white I was using.
What a
mess! My artic white is now a lovely mottled tea-stained shade - not
really what I had in mind! I don't even know how to get the tea out of
the pale threads.
Is this my punishment for starting yet another project before finishing the others I have been working on? Just maybe!!
(on a side note - I AM greatful it landed in the bag and not on my lap!)

Hi Rachel,
it's nice to meet you. I'm afraid knitting is a skill I've never had, although I've tried in my long ago past. Your socks look very bright and feminine and snug for a winter evening. It must be very satisfying to be able to wear your own handwork or give it as presents.
Have a great week,
Paula from Australia
