Just an update about all of us.....Well, I know that I haven't been as regular a blogger as I was, even just a few months ago, and I appologize for that. I'm finding that now, in my 35th week of pregnancy, that I just don't have the energy that I did! I am going to bed earlier in the evenings and significantly limiting my time on the computer.Speaking of pregnancy it's going well! I am so thankful, every day, for a healthy pregnancy. As I mentioned earlier, I am very very tired now, but still feeling pretty good! I'm struggling a lot with painful hips so I'm trying to remember not to sit down on the floor with the kids because it's very hard to get up again! I was at the midwife last week and so far there is "no sign of anything happening", so that sounds perfect to me :) My 2 1/2 year old (almost 3!) is on a growth spurt! She's eating everything in sight and still asking for more. I enjoy sorting through her clothes - it seems that she's outgrowing everything again! I took my 5 year old into the "Urgent Care" clinic today. He's acquired a double ear infection and is being so brave! He doesn't complain much so he has just been more snuggly then normal. He's been put on antibiotics, though, so he should be on the mend shortly. We may cut school out a bit tomorrow just to give him some rest and recovery time. He's having a lot of trouble hearing (understandably) and struggling to concentrate, so a sick day would do him good. My hubby - well, what can I say about him? He's still as handsome as always and SUCH a sweetie! He has been just fantastic about helping out when I'm feeling exhausted. This evening, while I was tucking the children to bed he was downstairs dishing out ice cream for me - it's the little things that show he cares! I don't know what I'd do without him! As for Annie... (The Cat)... we have some bad news... well it's not necessarily BAD bad news, but it's not great, either... She's been getting very... jumpy... over the last couple of months. She's been attacking my ankles when I walk by, and jumping at my son, scratching him and biting him, too (completely unprovoked - he'd walk down the stairs to feed her and she'd jump out at him). She seemed to center her attacks mainly on the two of us, and I've mentioned a concern to my hubby a couple of times about it. We couldn't figure out what was setting her off or upsetting her. Well... last Friday she went after one of the day care kids - she's never done that before (he did provoke her, but usually she's pretty easy-going). A few hours later, it was my daughter she took a swipe at, leaving a nice gash. Hubby was NOT happy that Annie gone after two little ones... then the cat made the ultimate mistake - Saturday morning she lunged for hubby (never done that before either). That was the last straw for him. She got loaded into a box and taken down to a nearby farm to begin a new life of chasing cows! The kids and I didn't even get a chance to say Goodbye to her. She's always been such a good cat - I wish I knew why she began acting this way all of a sudden. Well, the kids have asked a couple of times about her. Since she was spacifically my sons cat I expected some anger and misunderstanding from him. He did curl up with me at one point and express his sadness that his cat was no longer here, but then went on to say that he had started to become afraid of her and thought it would be better for everyone for her to live in the barn instead. I was very surprised at his reaction! It told me that it was the right decision even if it was a difficult one. So she's been gone for just over a week now. I miss her company, but I'm glad my children are comfortable with the decision. Well, this is a very big update, so I'd best close off here. My Christmas shopping is almost finished. We have a list (of course, I'm a list lover!) and we just buy a couple of things each week so we aren't blown away by the cost of everything at once. This is going to be a very special Christmas for us this year, with baby so close to arrival! ![]()
