What says "SPRING" to you??
SPRING to me is P USSY WILLOWS!

We have a tradition in our family. Each year, when the snow clears, I go to the back of my parents property, climb the willow trees and chop down the p ussys. The first time my son saw me climbing the tree he was very nervous, he thought I would fall! As the children were able, they became the helpers, gathering up the willows as they fell. When we moved into our home my mom took clippings from her trees and we planted them in our own backyard to start our own tradition. Each year, as I see the willows from my bedroom window it makes me think of spring and gives me warm memories of past years!
How many of you learned this poem as a child?
I know a little Pussy
Her coat is silver gray,
She lives down in the meadow,
Not very far away?
She'll always be a p ussy,
She'll never be a cat,
For she's a P USSY WILLOW,
Now what do you think of that?
A few more SPRING pictures for you!

My tulips are starting to come up!

My yard is FULL of crocus. It make a beautiful blanket of purple! I love this sign of spring. Although with a bunch of warm weather, it killed off the flowers and now the yard is burried under snow again! I wonder if they will rebloom? Probably not.
