Do I make an impact?Imagine - you have just turned 90 years old and you are the guest of honour at a large birthday party. You are asked "Who has made the greatest impact on your life?" (we're not referring to Godhead here, but a human being)Who would it be? A teacher? A parent? A spouse? A child? A friend? An author? A pastoral figure? Someone else? Chances are, the person (or people) who impacted you the most as a person are not people who DID something spectacular, (like invent the modern car) but someone who build a relationship or taught you somehow. Now, let's flip it around. You are sitting in the seat of honour at your 90th birthday and the guests are asked to speak about you. Are they going to talk of the wonderful things you've DONE, or are they going to tell about how you've changed their lives? Sometimes I get so task oriented that I forget to make those personal connections - even with my children! I pray that the Lord prods me to make a positive difference in LIVES - to connect people with HIM and show Him in my life. Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 25 of 507 } { Next Page } |
