My #3 child, FashionBug, turned thirteen this week. She is a lovely girl, and on most days she would be chosen as Miss Congeniality in a beauty pagent. But then there are those other days, when her title might be Miss Pitch-A-Fit.
Here she was at age 12, loving her younger brother:

And here she is, one day after turning 13, attempting to murder her younger brother:

ROFL OH MY! My children get exasperated with each other too. Then there are the moments when they are tender with each other that kind of make up for it all. I bet they really do love each other.

I know you are concerned about the kids playing around and all but I couldn't help noticing all that FLAT land in the background. Flat. Is that normal? I know the kids are normal but that land is flat...

Oh, but look how much she seems to be enjoying it. Just remind her that there WILL come a time when he will be bigger and stronger than she is, most likely, and that day is just around the corner. As they say up here, paybacks are hell.

BTW, how far is nearest hill to you? I've been to TX and have lived in flat Illinois, but I forgot just how FLAT it is out there.
