The last time I posted a picture of a lovely, vintage, carpet-bag style tote bag that I had made, you smart-alecky HSBers told me it looked like your grandma's curtains, confirming my teenage daughters' statements that it's an "old lady bag." Hardy har har.
Anyway. With this bag, I went 180 degrees in design and color choices, going for a bright, youthful look.
My daughters don't like this one, either. They call it my "Tarzan and Jane bag." I've gotta quit teaching my kids to think & write creatively - it's not working at all in my favor.
No. (Hey, it's not a baby bag and I've used a baby bag for a purse for the last 7 years!) I'm sort of a subdued-colors lady, anyway. Think dark jewel tones.
Would I call you out like Joan Rivers if YOU wore it?
No. It has personality and, as long as you don't wear it with pink or purple, definitely has a nice artistic swing to it.
So if you like it, wear it! Just please don't give it to me. ;)
I think it's great TC. Are you going to sell them? I was thinking of buying a new one for myself and my MIL for Christmas. Let me know when you set up your new handbag website.
Good golly, woman. Perhaps your husband can start picking out your handbags....
J/K I'm sure some people will think it's very lovely (like blind people).
PS sorry about your chickens, YUCK, how did you dispose of that many??
PS
I just reread my comment, and boy oh boy does it sound mean. I hope you know that i am totally joking.
ALSO, i am sort of mad at you because my daughter Coie reads YOUR blog more than she reads mine
I don't ordinarily like those colors but somehow I find that bag very appealing. (my favorite colors are burgandy/wine colors.
I can definately see someone youthful using such a bag as her summer tote.
Ahem (polite Canadian cough) So...... er......... What are you going to be wearing with it?
I'll tell you what, honey. Instead of worrying about handbags, you really should be working on publishing a book or e-book of your many adventures. Hardcopy, for sure I'd buy it. You are your greatest resource, dear. I really mean it.

LOL Yeah, baby, come and get me for that! I dare ya!!!!
I really like it. I liked the other one too. They are both interesting. Who wants what everyone else has anyway? But I've always been rebellious that way.
I can't say anything bad about something that someone has put that much time and effort into. So, I'll just say that it is very... uh... colorful! :-) You are quite a talented lady -- even with the gloves on!
BTW, thanks for commenting on my son's blog. You put a "smiley" on his face. :-)

Forget your dds lovely choice of adjectives. It's bright, springy, and... you can't miss it!! LOL! Seriously, it is a beautiful bag that is right in there with the color fashions right now.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I knew there was a fella who did moths, but I couldn't remember who he was. Your link was it (mothman)! I'm going to visit and see if he can help me with my BABIES..yes, they are hatching! Thank you so much.
Many blessings to you as continue your baglady journey. You may never be the next Liz Claiborne, but you sure keep us homeschool moms in stitches...and laughter IS the best medicine.
I don't know about Tarzan and Jane. I just saw those dozens of orange "monkey tails" sticking out between the foliage!
I think it's beautiful, and beautifully done, as well.
Alright

If you were a real Texan, you would open up the whoopin' can and smack them all upside the head for all their insults against your fine handiwork. COME on, gal!!
It's Texas Raisins, by the way. I have a new name and a new blog. Will you visit me there and add me as a friend?

I am no fashionista, but I think that neon signs would beg for sunglasses in light of this bag. (I think that I have some jams from the late 80's that are an exact match.)
I LOVE COLOR and Pattern nd your purse! I would totally carry it and feel sorry for all the people who did not have a purse as cool as mine! I hve been eyeballing similr fabric at JoAnn's!
I like it. Where do you get your bag patterns? I'd love tomake an Amy Butler bag. I made the cute skirt and i love it. THanks for introducing me to her. In fact me and my three closest girlfriends went away for hte weekend and stopped at a fabulous fabric store and we all bought several pieces to make the skirt from the pattern I have. The patterns have gone around.
