The Universe is a big place. That doesn't even begin to describe it, but the human language is rather devoid of words with which to speak of the absolutely mind bending BIGNESS of it all, so I won't even really try.

But really, I'd be happy if humans could just get an outpost on another plannet. You ALWAYS need a backup of your work and this is no exception.
Just a year or two ago, we had a near miss with an asteroid the size of a large city. It passed a mere million miles from us, which in relitive space terms is very close.
