Fish in My Hair

And now for a commercial break.

Today, rather than write some inane entry, like how I just discovered biscotti and believe that this must be what God eats for breakfast, I'm going to point you to the blog of my real-life friend, Lindiepindie. But first I'm going to show you just how smart she is. Look at these pincushions she's been making.

Aren't they just cuter'n a bug's ear?! She's also made some that look like real cupcakes, but you'll have to go to her blog, Craft Apple, to see them. She's got some tutorials and patterns over there, too. I just love having brilliant friends.

We bought them on sale at JoAnn's. They make a kids party so much fun! But this is a great idea to use them as well.

So adorable! I just checked out her other designs and they are just too cute. I am so happy Craft Apple influenced your blogging career and I thanked her for it. Your blog has kept me going on more than one "iffy" homeschooling days. You ever have those "iffy" homeschooling days?

Biscotti

It surely is what God eats for breakfast don't you think? I discovered it about three years ago when my brother made me some cranberry/pistachio biscotti for Christmas and it was to die for but really hard on my teeth! I later discovered you were supposed to dunk it in a hot drink! Such a sheltered gal I am. I don't like coffee, but I have found that hot tea makes the biscotti much easier on the teeth.

Oh wait I was supposed to post something about pin cushions or something. Sorry, I'm too hungry for that. Besides I don't sew. Mostly I just eat. :)

My mom used to crochet little fridgies that looked like oreo cookies. my dad is a practical jokester. he liked to keep the little magnet on the dash of his hunting rig,(this was back when cars and trucks were the primary support of the steel industry)
one of his buddies actually tried to eat the cookie. he thought it was so soft because it was slightly stale. I'm not sure what he thought stuck the cookie on an iclined dashboard, bouncing over dirt roads for three days. but I wouldn't have taken the chance on it.
