• Mar. 21, 2006 - Tele-Seminar coming up soon! March 27th, mark your calendars now!

Tele-seminar – Monday, March 27, 2006

Drew Perry became a real estate investor when he was 18. By the time he was 21, he had purchased 25 houses and created a passive stream of income that allowed his dad to leave his job in corporate America.

Today at age 23, he teaches real estate investors how to sell houses on eBay.

And guess what? He was homeschooled.

His mom Rhea, mother of seven children and former rep for Lifetime Books and Gifts, is dedicated to helping homeschoolers prepare their children to be successful in the business world while continuing to serve the Lord.

Several of the adults in her online community of entrepreneurs have left the workplace to come home. Dave Mitchell of Monterey, TN left engineering to start RecordedMoments.com and help his wife Kay homeschool their six sons.

Their oldest son Joshua, 18, now earns a significant personal income and works with some of the top marketers on the Internet today.

Michael Schultz, a father of 10 in New York, left his job and now supports his family from home with his wife Julie Anna by selling on eBay.

Those are just a few of the many incredible stories that have come from this online community.

Monday, March 27 at 6:00 p.m., PST, (7:00 MST, 8:00 Central, 9:00 EST,) I’ll be talking with Rhea on the phone about how these families are accomplishing so much in such a short time.

The only charge for the call is your regular long distance fee. (We may charge for these calls in the future, so be sure to get in on this FREE one!) If you haven’t done one of these before, it is really easy!

But space on this call is limited so be sure to call in about five minutes early.

Call: 1-620-782-2200.

You will need this code to participate: 43589

If you have any questions, make sure you write them down so you can ask Rhea yourself.

Believe me, I know Rhea personally, I’ve met the Mitchells, and I’ve been impressed with their results.

I can’t wait to introduce you to Rhea and how she makes school real.

Trust me, this is one call you don’t want to miss!

don't forget, it's coming up: Monday, March 27, 2006

This comment is totally unrelated to the above entry, but I couldn't decide where to put it, so I hope it gets read here. I just found you. I receive TEACH magazine here in Peru. You guys are so nice to send it to me... it is the only homeschool magazine I receive! And what a greater blessing is that you send it free of charge! I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am. Also that I am going to make you a friend so that I can remember where you are. Besides, you really are a friend over here, through your magazines I mean. I actually have two sitting right here by my computer waiting for a re-read. Anyway, I could ramble on, just wanted you to know of one very satisfied and blessed reader. :) Thanks for everything.
Love,
Amy

Hi Amy!

What a sweet note. Thank you for going out of your way to say "hello." If TEACH can bring a little encouragement to you then we are so very blessed.

I am sending out a "mass apology" to everyone I told about "The Clean Heart, Clean Home Challenge". I have received some comments in regard to leaving the button on people's blogs and I feel the best way to make sure there aren't others who are offended, is to apologize to those I sent the notice to.

I feel just horrible that some thought I was "advertising" in some way when my intention was to share with other homeschoolers what I was offering as encouragement and a way for us to join together.

If you are one who was upset by my post, please feel free to delete it and email me or leave a comment on my page and I will personally apologize. To those who have joined in The Challenge, I'm so looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us and hope we will all be able to bless our families and grow in the Lord through it! Thank you most importantly for seeing my heart. I never meant to disregard anyone's post when I left the comment about the Challenge, and want you all to know that anything you ever have to say to me, whether on topic or not, is more than welcome on my blog. I will also be making a new category on my blog that will list those of you who don't mind getting urgent prayer requests or information from time to time. I hope this way I will be able to avoid upsetting anyone similarly in the future.

Thanks for allowing me to comment on your blog. I hope you will accept my apology (and not be upset that I'm "off topic" from your post, but I have many people to get to still tonight).

In Him,
Amy Verlennich

Dear Amy,

I can see why someone might have not liked your directing people over to your blog from theirs if they are trying to sell something. For me, my heart is to build up, encourage, and inspire mothers to be the best they can. Your idea sounds like a great one and I am very happy to have you post about it (and the sick children who so need our prayers). Keep at it. You are welcome here!

• Mar. 27, 2006 - My Mama

Posted by Anonymous
Dear Gena,

Fancy meeting you here! ;0)

My mom is doing better right now. She is living back at home (after 4 months here) and just comes over weekly for treatment. The doctors only have one more drug to try. Hopefully she can have it on Wednesday, it depends on if her blood counts are high enough to handle a dose of chemo.

If her cancer does not respond to this medically there is nothing left for her to do. BUT, God is bigger than the medical establishment and is able to work through it and outside of it. We are praying faithfully and just keeping on day by day, enjoying life with her while we have it.

Thanks for asking, and most of all, thanks for praying. That means more to us than words can express.
