Texas State Fair
The Texas State Fair is the largest State Fair in the nation. It become famous with the movie State Fair staring Elivs. Our Big Tex talking statue was featured in the movie and became an icon on the Texas landscape.
But our fair is more than drama and corn dogs, it's an educational experience not to be missed by our kids. It's an experience, from the fried twinkies to the car show, the calf roping, and the many entries of home made items as in any fair. It's an American tradition that needs to be shared by our children so they will know how communities used to gather in the frontier days for the anticipated yearly fair.
The State Fair of Texas will give out free tickets to your homeschool IF you ordered them before August AND if you live within 100 miles of Dallas. For those of us who either are not within that 100 mile radius or who did not get in on the deal, here are some other options for discounted tickets.
