Saxon 7/6

Well, today I worked on lesson 82. I already knew the lesson's main focus, so that made it easier to focus on doing unit conversions. That one still gives me some trouble.

Art:

I worked on my self-portait.

Vocabulary From Classical Roots:

I reviewed vocabulary units 1 & 2. Unit one is on root words related to numbers. I have those nailed down solid. Unit two is a bit harder. Some of the example vocabulary do not match the root meanings, such a pandemonium. Pan means all. The rest of the word is related to daimon which means 'power'. So the meaning should be something like all-powerful, but it doesn't. That makes the job tougher.

Rocks and Minerals:

I made a lab report for the co-op on Monday. Monday was a very full day so the lab reports couldn't be done that day. Then yesterday my 'new to me' computer was being set up. That took all day. But today it had been completed except for the data/observation part. The crystals will take time to grow. As they do, we will take pictures and add them to the lab reports.

Now I am off to enjoy some time on my computer!
