I am on the folk art unit in art. Today's lesson was about the design of Hawiian quilts. Here is my notebook page for my studio project for this lesson:
I love Hawaiian style quilting. It is much different from american quilting and the designs are based upon plants that are grown on Hawaii. Hawaiian quilts are all handmade--you cannot do this style of quilting on a machine and sell for a lot of money.
What art book is your mom using? It sounds very interesting.
I saw that I was one of your friends and I decided to check at your blog. It's awesome! I really like what you did on the top of the page that says homeschool. (I think that's what it says.) But anyway I just wanted to say that I am adding you to my friends list.
