Making up for lost posts
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
For those of you who have been wondering, I’m still around. I’ve just found that I don't have much time for blogging these days. I still think in terms of blogging sometimes. If I’d had the time over the past few weeks to actually put my thoughts on HSB, these are a few of the things I would have written about.
----------------------------------------
I love Christmas! The sights the sounds the birth of Jesus. I love it all. Contrary to the materialistic spin that is put on the whole holiday we try not to focus on all that. It's the birth of Jesus and that's all good!

My oldest daughter and her husband finally closed on their first home. I am thankful that they have been blessed so early in life. It was touch and go for a while but it all worked out. The house is a 1920's farm house. Think old and needing lots of work, but with lots of potential!
It's out in the country but not to far from a main road. It's just them and a neighbor. Very quaint, very quiet and very peaceful. I would have loved to have had a cute little house like that when we started out. We are all very excited for them. God is good!
----------------------------------------------------------------
We had twin goats born recently. It was a severely cold day and one didn't make it. The one that survived is a boy. Figures!
At least he's got some nice markings so he will probably be a keeper.

Our Family Project.
We bought a fixer upper house last October that we intend to sell once the work is completed. We're getting close! This has been an ongoing family project. Our children are learning the ins and outs of rehabbing and remodeling a house. It's been a lot of work. I mostly take pictures and tell everyone what a great job they are doing. I have way to much to to do in my own house and it's stuff that only I can do. The house is looking great and everyone has been working so hard, especially my husband who always does his best. His work slowed down last fall and I am not sure what he would be doing right now. The Lord has provided just enough work to provide for our needs. Other than that we are living on faith.

BIG NEWS! ----- BIG NEWS! --------- BIG NEWS!
Our baby is starting to take his first steps. Yes, some may think he should already be walking since he is now 15 months but we just take our time around here. It looks like he'll break the slowest walker record of 18 months. Go baby goooooooooo!
------------------------------------------------------
"I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."
John 14:12-14
We'll we are off to a faith filled year at our house. I've had to put my total trust in the Lord in so many areas of my life. This is not always easy but is always good. I have also had so many people ask me to keep their lives and situations that look hopeless, in prayer. If you also have a situation that seems hopeless remember that we serve the God of Hope. Nothing happens by chance but by His will. Amen.

-- Love the newyled's home; I would love to have it. I dream of peace and quiet! Our home backs up to a busy boulevard. Not fun. --You've got your hands full now with a walker! And yes, the Lord continues to mold us, to refine us, doesn't He? I am grateful.
Happy New Year Maria! Blessings, Lisa
