Tomorrow I turn the sweet age of 40.
Yep, I'm catching up with my wiser friends.
Today I received the most wonderful early birthday gift straight from the hand of God.
SNOW!
Right outside my very own window.
He knows how much I like to just look at it. Growing up on the East Coast, I've shoveled plenty of snow. I don't miss it. But every once in a while I like to just admire the way it covers the trees and makes the grass disappear. This morning was perfect, we got just enough to admire for me and just enough for the children to run out and play in, even if it was only for a little while.
By noon it was pretty much a memory.
What started off the morning looking like this...........
Ended up looking like this an hour later. JOY!
Thank you Lord, for the little things that bring me joy.
The time with my family and friends.
The time you've given me on the earth to live this life you've blessed me with.
The time you've given me to enjoy all that you have made.
Thank you Father,for blessing me with so many good things.
And especially the snow today. Amen.
