Boy, these days and months are passing quickly.
It's amazing to me how fast my days seem to go.
Our month is already off to a great start!
A friend dropped off 18 baby chicks to us this morning. THANK YOU!
We also attended the most wonderful tea party. Everything was lovely.
The day,
the food
and especially the company!
Doesn't this look fabulous?
And I got to explore the gardens. I love these raised beds!
(Taken through the screened in porch from which we sipped our tea!)
Next week we embark on a 900 mile journey to visit my dad my sister and her family and celebrate Mother's Day with my mother in law and sister in law. I will also be making a stop at the cemetery where my mother is buried. A quick trip to the beach is also on our list.
OUR MONTH IN PICTURES
We have another child learning to ride a two wheeler! Where have the years gone?
(yes that's a pink bike. He doesn't mind so we don't either!)
The best daddy and the best baby!
The bravest climber I know!
Our iris's are blooming all over the yard! I love this part of spring!!!
Jake took a fun soap carving class.
Please excuse this fuzzy photo. It is actually one of my better pictures of our homeschool production of the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Samiam was a great Aslan. Her hair made the perfect lion's mane.
Jake at the lamp post in "Narnia".
The girls just had their dance recital.

Another birthday has come and gone for Sweettartsarah. Now she is 9!
Yes, it's turkey season. Meet our new dinner guest!
The girls made a trip to Guilford, North Carolina with their daddy for a Revolutionary War Re-enactment.
Living History is always a hit with this family.
Don't they look the part?
And we did somehow manage to get some schooling in!
My goodness! You have had a beautiful and busy month! How do you manage it all? I think that you need to start blogging tips on how to manage a large-ish household. :)
I enjoyed reading your entry today. You had quite a busy month! Thanks for sharing your beautiful family pictures with us. Good luck with the new chicks!
You have got a truly beautiful family, thanks for sharing the updates. I can hardly believe May is soon to be over, time seems to be flying by more than ever.
You motivate me to get more fantastic things done, life in your household sounds so wonderfully busy in a good way.
Ours is crazy as well, I'm trying to spread the word, my daughter is now published, info is on my blog. I'm assuming perhaps you are back at home from your trip, but I pray you enjoy a safe summer whatever your plans. Hugs!!
I'm not really for sure how I found your blog. Love your pictures, especially the ones of the tea party. ;)
I didn't know your family participated in living history re-enactments. Our family went to Christmas at Fort Lodoun last December (not as re-enactors though). We loved it & talked about being involved in something like that.
The girls are missing their favorite babysitter. :) Don't visit my hsb blog, I don't post their anymore.
I need to return your stuff!!! Oh, I'm looking forward to Friday.

What a great month you had. We are having a tea party for my dd and her ballet friends this weekend. I hope it turns out as lovely as yours.
Blessings,
Dawm
To everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under the sun.
A time to be born and a time to die;
a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill and a time to heal ...
a time to weep and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dance ...
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to lose and a time to seek;
a time to rend and a time to sew;
a time to keep silent and a time to speak;
a time to love and a time to hate;
a time for war and a time for peace.
