A Home School Season...

Beginnings & Endings

This past week I have been in prayer with a heavy heart for the Drews Family. I was honored to meet Marsha when she and her family were visiting TN. I saw her on the ride that we were both on in Dollywood. How amazing is that!  You can read the tribute to her precious son "Dozer" Here. Christian's life here on this earth has ended but he is beginning his eternity in heaven with Jesus.  * Please keep this family in your prayers in the days and weeks to come.

I lost my mother in a serious car accident years ago. It was my faith that got me through it. Knowing mom was now at peace with Jesus is  what has helped me to find that peace that surpasses all understanding.  Moms life ended here on earth but her life with Jesus has begun.

God is good!  All. The. Time.

I titled this entry Beginnings & Endings  because that's how life is. We have beginnings and we have endings.

This year my daughter Sami will end her homeschool journey.
She will be graduating High School.

I am excited to see what great things
our awesome God has planned for her.

I added a playlist at the bottom of a song by Mark Harris called "Find Your Wings."   I think it is fitting for any parent.  If you get a minute please stay a while and listen to it. Let me know what you think of it.: )

May you find much joy & blessings at your beginnings & endings this school year.

"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." Revelation 22:13

Beautiful post.
My very dear friend lost her 18 month old son to a choking accident. I was with her from that night on till he went home to be with the Lord. Being close to someone who has lost a little child of their own is something I never wish on anyone, but I trust in HIM who is craddling all these little babies till they are reunited again.

Okay you made me cry. Jacob will be in "high school" next year and we're already praying and thinking and talking about WHAT God wants us to do...
I am in awe of you and your courage to homeschool your daughter all the way through. I admit, I am scared.

Oh, my goodness. I can't believe Sami is graduating. Giving them wings is definitely a hard, beautiful, tearful, and blessed journey.
I won't see you Tuesday afterall. James will take the girls this week. I didn't realize the conflict. I am going to dinner with 2 homeschool moms from my church. One has been homeschooling many years, and one is a new hs~er this year. She's a public school teacher, who is still having to teach this year for financial reasons (husband has been having to have several surgeries), but her 15 and 12 year old sons are homeschooling this year.

Wow, you make me think, I only have this year and next before my baby girl graduates...time surely does fly. Even though we were late bloomers for homeschooling, we began as she ended sixth grade, I cherish these years and the learning we have done together. I am thankful for the blessings homeschooling and our obedience to Christ has brought to our family. The Drews family will be in our prayers, as they have been. They are enduring such a huge loss, but their example is a blessing to many. LOVE the song, fantastic choice. I opened your blog in another folder so I could listen longer. :-) Hugs!!

About Me

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under the sun. A time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill and a time to heal ... a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance ... a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to lose and a time to seek; a time to rend and a time to sew; a time to keep silent and a time to speak; a time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
