I'm Not A Writer
This is my blog. Yes, it is. I'm enjoying this new blog lifestyle. Why blog? Yup. But anyway, as I learn about the purpose of blogging (why do you do this?), I think I'd rather rave about others' blogs I've come across as of late. Oh, but I think I am supposed to say something, too. Like something about my life or whatever, right? Ok. My niece got her driver's license today and I am SO proud of her. My hand hurts; I have terrible carpal tunnel syndrome; I think I need surgery on my left wrist...man it throbs. Like a million knives. I told Paul I feel like I am pinned up against a tree with a sword going thru it. We need to stop watching medieval films. But really, it feels like it. I bought a brace for it. Er, um, yeah. Are we permitted to complain on a blog? If so, waaaaaaaaaaah, ouch, bleh. Hmmmmm, even though this takes ten times as long as it should to type with a bum hand, that little whine felt good.
I think people blog because they have something to share. What though if you have NOTHING interesting to say? Other than my hand hurting and Coie getting free reign of the open highway, not much is new. Except the CBA convention. It's in Denver this year (mid July) and we are GOING. Yehaw! My good friend Nancy lives there and we are taking her to some funky Mexican restaurant she's insisting on doing. Doesn't she realize I am married to a Mexican. I eat lots and lots of beans and rice already. Here is Nancy's blog...I sure like her:

This lady, Lynda, is a brilliant marketer. And seriously, why not a "Homeschool Talk Radio"? You know this will do WELL. We are going to send Diana Waring, Christine Field and some other cool speakers to the show. Check them out...and TOS gets to do all their product reviews. Ack! I don't like to speak out loud (well, in public. in home I am plenty loud...heh heh). No more blah blah blah from me today. Someone comment or I will just die of loneliness in here. I'm not a writer. Don't be afraid to agree with me on that! I like constructive criticism when given with a cyber hug. ;-)

Gena, you are doing pretty good at typing one-handed today! Yesterday you had me worried. I had never seen your words come so short, sweet and slow....asdl;ksdl---sorry, I know it was painful. It's ok for everyone to whine once in a while---at least in my book.
I am blessed to be a victim of your blog. I mean, thanks for making an example out of me......oh, yeah.
Hey, of course I know you're married to a Mexican! The last name is a dead giveaway. Plus, I know how much you love beans and stuff. (me too.) Can't wait to see you in Denver. BUT, Anyway, we may have to re-think the whole enchilada...about going to that restaurant....well, their website looks really goofy and I am not sure I could do it. It would affect us, I know, and then we would end up being the subject of one of Heather's tabloid articles.
Sigh. God is so good to us. What a group! Kate, would you please pass me a scone? I am blessed by you all. What fun! NOBODY should have this much fun. It's probably unsanctioned!

Had I known of your injury, I wouldn't have goaded you quite so badly about starting your blog. But, it's started now and you have shown that you CAN do it, so there's no stopping you now! And no excuse that you don't know how. :-)
I must say, the rest of the crew has some kind of dedication, staying up into the wee hours of the morning just to comment on your blog. By the time I saw it this morning, the page was already overflowing with witty comments. Which is good because I'm feeling terribly un-witty right now, and they have kindly taken up my slack ahead of time. I hate being sick! If you can whine in your blog, I can whine in your blog, too! Waaah! *cough cough achoo! snif*
You did a fine job. That's what many bloggers do, find some story on the internet, link to it and add their own comments. So you are right in line with the best of them. I'm too self-centered to do that very often, I think. :-) But what I WILL do is add you to my favorites list on my blog now that you don't have a blank page. I'm sure that will send readers to your pages in DROVES. You know, cuz my blog is so popular and all. (She says, knowing only the Fruit Loopies are reading her blog, LOL.)

I think what I have is technically classified as, "Too Many Ideas, Not Enough Time" Syndrome. It's a terrible illness that makes you constantly feel like you have a ping pong ball bouncing around inside your head.
But, I have a feeling that I'm "preaching to the choir" here, because anyone that publishes such an awesome magazine, HAS to be a brilliant marketer herself.
