| Greetings! |
|
Welcome to a special edition month of Minute to Minute! For the entire month of August the Minute to Minute Readers are going to answer a few questions from homeschool moms who have children with special needs. This month's newsletters discuss homeschooling children with dyslexia, dysgraphia, autism, and ADHD.
Homeschool moms, we know you're not alone in homeschooling your special, special needs kids. We want to hear your stories of encouragement, your advice for the trying days, and the resources and curricula that have helped you homeschool your special needs children.
TOS has always sought to encourage all homeschool moms, but especially those homeschooling special needs children. In fact, that's the reason TOS created the Resource Room, which includes articles from TOS Magazine and special web articles all geared to encourage and aid homeschoolers with special needs children. Also, be sure to purchase a copy of TOS Summer 08 Edition which focuses on special needs.
Enjoy getting to know our homeschool moms and their special needs children a little better in our next issue. Join us as we answer more special needs questions.

| Finding Resources For Special Needs Children |
|
Dear Minute to Minute Readers,
I have three children: my son (12) is autistic, my daughter (10) seems to have dysgraphia, and my daughter (8) has complex partial seizures in the left side of her brain with the learning disabilities that can come with it and some autistic tendencies. I have found some wonderful materials to use over the years but have not yet found a math program that works really well with my son and youngest daughter. We have used Saxon for the past two years, and there has been some progress. However, I can't help but feel that there is something better and more affordable out there for him and my youngest daughter. My 10 year old daughter is very intelligent but has trouble with reversing her letters in writing or totally mispelling what she can spell orally. Does anyone have any suggestions for us? We would deeply appreciate it.
Homeschooling Some Special, Special Needs Kids,
Sonja
