Do You Have An Eagle Eye?

Posted in Links

The eaglets were quite busy last I checked this  Eagle Cam.   My kids are glad I don't have to chew up my food and drop it in THEIR mouths.   I noted the mother eagle spends an inordinate amount of time feeding her young.   I don't feel as bad about the endless hours in the kitchen.   I'm just grateful my children can feed themselves now!   Be sure your audio is on to fully enjoy the sounds of nature,   if you check out feeding time on the Eagle Cam.   National Geographic has an excellent video  about eagles online too.

Interesting facts:

Longevity - Wild bald eagles may live as long as thirty years.

Fidelity - Once paired, bald eagles remain together until one dies.

Lifting power is about 4 pounds.

The Eagle

He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ring'd with the azure world, he stands.

The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;
He watches from his mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt he falls.

---Alfred Tennyson
