O-Range You Going To Try It ?

Posted in Recipes

I co-chaired my church recipe book committee.  This is one of the easiest and most popular desserts in the whole book.  I know I am invited to one particular annual event because they want me to bring this Mandarin Orange Cake.

Mandarin Orange Cake

Cake:

1 yellow cake mix

4 eggs

3/4 c. oil

1 large can mandarin oranges, with liquid

Frosting:

1 large pkg. vanilla instant pudding

12 oz. Cool Whip

14-15 oz. can crushed pineapple with juice

Mix egg, oil, cake mix, and oranges with liquid for 2 minutes.  Bake in three greased pans for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees.  Allow to cool completely on racks.

For frosting, mix pudding, Cool Whip, and crushed pineapple with juice.  Frost three-layered cake and refrigerate.  Looks spectacular on a cake pedestal!

My neighbor just made this for her DH who was being deployed. I guess it's his favorite. Anyway she didn't want all that cake in the house and she gave me a piece. It's soo yummy and moist. She gave me the recipe and it's the same as yours! Too funny. Thanks for sharing, I like your blog.
