Survival of the Fittest !

Secrets to surviving hot weather camping:  lots of fluids, lots of swimming, lots of sitting around, plenty of sno-cones at the camp store, trips into town for more ice.

And the REAL secret for my personal survival?  Dads were in charge of recreation.  Moms were in charge of conversation in my air conditioned camper.  There.....I've confessed.  I'm not a very good camper.

Jun. 6, 2006 - Congrats

First of all Congrats on the Featured Blog thing! Second - Hot camping. Well I'm just from the SOUTH and HOT is in Aug when you step outside and need a towel to get to the air conditioned car. The water looks great though. We kayak in the HOT months of summer down here - no camping then. We tent camp and don't even bring a fan!
Hopefully we will be going the end of this month.
Take care - congrats again

Jun. 7, 2006 - I wondered about that...

I don't know why but I had the feeling that you weren't the rugged-sleep-on-the-ground-underneath-the-stars type! Glad you're back! I enjoyed your notes for Chapter 7.

Blessings to you, Jessica

Sounds to me like you are a great camper - a highly intelligent one! Wasn't God nice to make all that water and give us the brains to discover it's endless uses.
Glad your are back - you were missed.
Be blessed,
Miss Meg

I'm with you . . . I'd take the AC over the great (hot) outdoors anyday! It's nice to see you at the carnival this week! Kailani
