Ice Cream Pie

A Favorite 4th of July recipe!

 

1 c. light brown sugar

1 stick margarine/butter

2 c. Rice Kripies, crushed

½ c. chopped nuts

1 qt. of  your favorite ice cream, softened

 

Melt sugar and margarine/butter; set aside.  Mix Rice Krispies and chopped nuts in a large bowl.  Add sugar/butter; mix well.  Press into pie plate.  Save ½ cup to sprinkle on top.  Fill shell with softened ice cream. Sprinkle with remaining mixture.  Freeze, covered with plastic wrap.  This recipe can be doubled and placed in a 9" x 13" pan........double delicious!

Thanks for posting this recipe. I am definitely going to try it. I'm sure it will be a hit. How can you go wrong with ice cream?????
