It Was Seventy Degrees And Now This!

Posted in Family

Short sleeves on Thursday & homebound on Friday!

Nature is trimming all our trees!

150 more days and I'll be sipping ice tea enjoying the magnolia blossoms!

We're experiencing subzero windchills today and intermittant blasts of blowing snow....much too cold to sled today.   The photos are compliments of my kids.   I observed from the window with my steaming hot coffee mug, smiling with encouragement, giving the thumbs up sign as they each left the house bundled head to toe with the camera.

(these are signs of a big wimp....uhhh, I mean great motivational coach).

I made a photo contest out of the outdoor photo-story assignment.  I selected two photos from each of the kids' portfolios.  So which group of pictures wins?   They each capture a unique perspective of the ice storm.  We're all hoping the sun comes out this afternoon before the ice melts for some "winter wonderland" shots.  We are thankful to have electricity as half the county is without power today.

How's the weather at your house?

That is a pretty extreme change! Those are pretty pictures by the way. We ALWAYS have snow this time of year. We have it through March. So it will be a while before we are drinking mint julips....hehehe

Beautiful, although, I don't envy your temps. I do hope, though, we at least get one good snow this year. We're way overdue.
