Steve returned from his India trip today. He visited 7 cities including Bombay, Pondicherry, Madras, and Bangalore, all noted on this map in the lower half of the country. Weather was in the 80's. He reports being tired of bumping into too many people and cows, which he would have preferred on his plate! (The cows of course, not the people.) India is about 1/3 the size of the 48 contiguous states. The population of India is 1.2 billion, 4 times that of the US. His experience gives new meaning to the term "population density" .
