It's raining!!!

Posted in My life

I love when it rains! Everything smells good when it rains! And it's windy and all the trees are waving their branches... It's one of those days that are so uncommon in Texas. So I decided to write a blog post to celebrate, while I sip rasberry tea ;-) Well yesterday We went to Beth's house because they were having a blessing dinner for all the graduates. if you've never heard of a blessing dinner before don't feel bad neither had I. Basically after dinner, each family says a blessing over there graduate and then they say nice things about them. Then when everybody was done we went outside and played ping-pong (I'm really bad at Ping-Pong! ;-) But the best part of the evening was when I went outside to find Beth and David and Alex and Jonathan and William, sword fighting with Beth's little brother's wooden swords! It was so much fun! I hadn't done any sword fighting in so long. I think the last time was when I was seven or eight and Alex mad us wooden swords. We fought with them a lot until one day I hit him a very hard knock that broke his sword 'in twain' ;-) So anyway, I was really excited and I asked for a sword and fought with William. I really wasn't expecting to win but I did, just barely! It was so much fun! And then I lost to David and beat Beth and then I beat Jonathan. Afterwards John (9) asked me to fight with him so I said okay and we started fighting. It was really funny though because John was violently swinging his sword with no clear purpose, he just ran straight for me hitting my sword as hard as he could. He actually broke the hilt of my sword! It was really fun ;-D so anyway that's what I did last night and I haven't had so much fun in a long time! Sword fighting is awesome! I wish I could do fencing I think that would be really fun ;-) I tried to put a picture on this post and completely failed ;-) just letting you know I did try! ~Ness ;-)

I love the rain, and so does my garden, although a few of my tomatoe branches broke:( Don't worry, I think they'll be okay. It was so wet that Moo came and hid in the garage. ;D He's so crazy.

I'm glad you had fun yesterday.
Keep up frequent posting.

Hey! There not just "Beth's little brother's swords" One is mine!!! You have deeply offended me... :-) Wait- you broke the hilt of one of the swords??? How dare you!!! (not... I don't care really... :-) I never really got in on the sword fighting thing, Katie didn't want to, and I had to stay with her, which was fun... but I was sad I missed out... *sniff sniff sniff* Oh, have you noticed that lately, people have been putting spaces between this: * and this: (any letter.,) Lie this: * sniff * instead of this: *sniff* I suspect it is because of gmail. If you do it in G-talk, it will make it bold, instead of having the little stars. If that made no sence, I am sorry. :-) I have a bad habit of rambling as you probably know... (I was your debate partner- of course you know!) And there I go again... I had better stop writing. Bye!

Hi Claire, your on my blog more than I am! ;-)
Poor Moo! How are your radishes doing?
I'm trying hard to be a 'frequent poster' ;-) I think about twice a week is my speed if I'm lucky;-)
See you soon, and hopefully we can go swimming this time!
~Ness
P.S. bye the way are you and Paul going to come check out speech and debate in the fall? Just One meeting? Please! ;-)

My radishes failed :( So I had to pull them up. They were just taking up space and making me angry and breeding pill bugs and mold and Jesus told the fig tree to die because it was being stupid and... *mumble*

Anyway, its alright because now I have enough space for some eggplants my neighbore gave to me. By the way, do you know whether to grow them on a pole or on the ground?
My Zucchini plants are doing well though, in fact they're doing too well. They're so huge, they've fallen and crushed my poor artichokes. Thank goodness the little guys are tough (and not due for harvest for about a year).
My beans are tangled in my tomatoes and my peas are getting big but not producing fruit, my squash plants have little baby squashes and...

Enough of that, I don't want to bore you with my obsession with green stuff, (you know I'm just an overgrown hobbit, although I would definately be a Took, not a Baggins. I would never survive without adventure ;D)

Yes, I probably am on your blog more than you. But its okay, my laptop's always free at least five hours out of a day, yours may not be.

And I would love to look into Debate. Give me some details about when and where and I'll come check it out.

Oh, and I'll tell Moo you cared :) See you guys soon,

Lady Claire

Greetings,

I am not good at ping pong either. If the ball goes whithin 90 degrees of the direction I want it to, I am doing well. It is the same with most ball sports. It has some thing to do with my right hand/ left eye cordination.
I am glad to hear that Alex and I are not the only people crazy enough to enjoy hitting each other with wooden swords. I am still looking for the best kind of wood to make swords out of to prevent them from breaking or splintering. That is the largest prolem with such devices.
Also I would be very interested in coming to the speach and debate once fall comes.

May Christ our Risen Lord bless all of you.

Yeah, rain before ultimate frisbee was not the best, but every once in awhile it's fun to get muddy;-)

Radishes! oh well maybe it was too late in the season. I'll have to ask my Mom about eggplants I'll get back to you on that. How are your blueberrys? Your artichokes will be fine right? ;-)
Your garden!
Nothing ever grows TOO big in our garden. *grumble* ;-)
If you ever get an account on here you could be 'the overgrown hobbit' ;-)
Yes definitly a Took they're more human in that way, though I suppose there are probably some boring grown ups somerewhere in this world who don't care for adventure. After all there's like Six billion people!;-)
Speech and debate doesn't start until fall but I'll let you know as soon as I findeth outeth. Any updates on if your going to school?
See you soon!

Well the swords you made were pretty good ;-)
these swords had really bad balance! Sword fighting is a much better way of developing hand eye coordination then ping-pong ;-)
Wooden swords splinter when teenage boys use them! It's because they hit too hard ;-) We'll let you know as soon as debate starts again.
See you soon!

P.S. if I had stairs I would charge too, but I only have front steps ;-)

No, I'm still working out the pros and cons of staying home and going to school. Believe me, you'd be surprised how many there are.
There are so many reasons I should go to school, in my mind, and so many benefits I'd get if I did go to school. *thinks* But then how would I know for sure? I've never even been to school. *gets exasperated*
And then on the other hand, if I stay home and go to college instead, I can do Speach and Debate with you, I can have a bog, I'll be able to get my Black belt in Karate, I can take opera lessons, and I will have sooo much more time. *Thinks again*
But in the end, all these things seem so trivial when we're talking about my education, and more importantly the rest of my life. *begins to look like the guy from "Fiddler on the Roof" when ever the screen freezes and HE is thinking*

You've got to understand, I feel going to school will teach me stuff about PEOPLE that will benefit me more in life. I know pretty much everything I can learn from being homeschooled already. I don't know anything about the rest of the world. I've never seen it. I should understand that, too. After all when I leave home thats what I'll be working with.

Anyway, thats the material I've got to figure with while making this decission. And trust me, It's not easy. For now I'm just going to go to school and if it turns out its not what I thought, I'm not afraid to admit it and just come back home. *looks very satisfied with herself*
Well, sorry for babbling like that. Just got alot on my mind that needed to come out I guess, so thanks for asking. I'll see you guys soon.
