Did you know that this is the time of year for many people to being homeschooling?
I have noticed over the past week that I have receieved more phone calls in my business from brand-new homeschoolers. These are the brave ones who decide in the middle of the year to start homeschooling there child(ren). What an exciting journey they are beginning! So the next time you are out during the day, look around and see if you notice any new families who may have just started homeschooling!
In our area, there is a winter bookfair and conference coming up. And our support group is having a mid-year planning meeting. These are great opportunities to let new homeschoolers know about your group and homeschooling in general. If there isn't an event planned in your area soon, why don't YOU plan a new homeschooler welcome event at your local library????
You can always point them to "The Old Schoolhouse" magazine's website and HSB, too!!!
Have a blessed day! Tami

That is SO cool about the new business pouring in! I am happy to hear that so many parents are pulling their kids out of school at the holiday! YEAH!! Hey, email me if you need free magazines to throw in your orders - we'll ship them to you free, too.

My daughter just got an email from a gal who was looking for high school advice. She and her parents decided to homeschool. And the daughter is doing some research on it. I think this is awesome.

Hey, thanks for visiting Nebraska! We should organize field trips to other states or something...like that homeschool carnival.

Last year, we took our son out of his charter school. When than enrolled him in an ISP. It took some adjusting but it has definitely paid off. I'm glad that we took the plunge.
