Hello, Friends,
I have not written since New Year's Day. There have been a lot of things going on in my life. I have also taken time to spend with my family. We have all been hurting since my grandfather's passing. And we also picked up a nasty virus that turned into secondary infections. I have three children who are still on nebulizer treatments. My phone and internet connections have also been spotty for three weeks now. We think we have it narrowed down to the source of the problem, but the phone repair person has not been back by to fix it.
In other news, I am a college student once again. I went back to school this semester to become certified in phlebotomy. With the looming CPSIA law going into effect and the economic downturn, my husband and I decided that I needed some additional training. The unemployment numbers in our area are approaching double digits. No one is immune to a lay off.
We are plugging along in our homeschool. We took 6 weeks off during my grandfather's illness and during Christmas. So we are full force into school mode now. With a senior, we are quite busy finishing up with her high school career.
I am still selling homeschool books through my website (www.dhss.com), and I welcome orders. Until February 9th, things are business as usual for me. I am praying that there are amendments in place by February 10th, so that I can continue offering products for homeschoolers.
Have a blessed day! Tami
