An Update

Please keep me and my family in your prayers. The last few days have been very hard on us all. Todd got home safely. So that is good Maya is still in Tx with her father she wants to live there now and not here so she did not come home.

This has been hard on the whole family so that is why I have not posted.  Please just pray for us that Gods will , would be done. Thank you.

Maya and Todd are coming home!

So Todd had his interviews yesterday, they went really well. But after he had time to think and pray about it he does not think that this job is for him. The pay is great the location is great, But the time he would be away from us would be a lot. He would be on the road 50% of the time. He was in the Navy and says he spent enough time away from family then and does not want to do it again. So if they call him back he will turn them down, all the pay in the world is not worth being away from family.

Next week he goes on a different interview. This one is in Ohio too; Delaware and he would not have to be spending time on the road away from us. This is the one both Todd and I have been having really good feelings about. We found a church there and we have also found a home all we need now is Todd to get a job there. It would be a job that Todd has been wanting for awhile now.

We just need to put it all in Gods hands. Todd getting the job or not is all up to God, Gods will for us is prefect.

Even if is may not be what we think we want at the time.

Todd is coming home tonight, he will be here around 9:30 can’t wait to see him.  Maya is coming home from Texas tonight too she will be here just a little bit earlier then Todd, she seemed to have a good time in Texas with her father.

While Daddy's away...

Last night was the 1st part of the interview he did well with it and then had to sign up for the region interview for today. The region he is interviewing for is Ohio, it is all of Ohio. Not just NW, NE Ohio the whole state,
now that is some traveling job!

His interviews for today started at 10:00 this morning. Please pray all goes well, and Gods will is done. Pray he comes home safely tomorrow.

Things are going ok around here. Ian is doing well in his school and being a little helper. Shannon was trying to get away with things she normal would not try to get away with yesterday, but is doing a lot better today. Shawn is being Shawn, soon he will be a good boy I know it! At least I am praying he will. TJ is being a good little guy, he goes into our bed room and looks for Todd in bed it is sad when he sees that daddy is not there.

So far TJ has went potty in the bathroom 2 times we would take his diaper off and he would run to the bathroom and go pee pee like a big boy… to bad he is to short….  He is getting so big!!

Tis' The Season

Ian is almost done with 1st grade!! I am so happy for him; he is getting slow now getting bored with the same 1st grade things. So it is becoming hard to keep his mind on his work. Shannon is doing well in her school, she is being slow here lately too I think it is a Christmas thing going on they are all excited about the thing our church is doing for Christmas. All the kids are excited about it.

We have a Christmas Supper on the 15th, hopefully we will make it. Then we have the Christmas Kids play, Candle Light service on Christmas Eve. So much to look forward to!

Lots going on

Been a busy past few days sorry I have not wrote!!

We got a Suburban on Friday; it is a 99, in very good condition. Todd is so excited about it. It is an 8 passenger. So that is nice for us all to have room. What is really nice is I am able to drive it!! I was not able to drive the van it was hard for me to, it was scary.  It is a pretty sandalwood color, clothe inside, tow package and all. God is so great!

I am doing well; the baby is a very active one always moving around. He likes getting his feet up in my ribs already!  I can’t wait to meet this little guy.

Todd goes on his interview this Thursday in Chicago, I don’t like it when he is gone but maybe he will be back with new of a new job!

Went to the Midwife today....

Had a good appointment with the midwife… I think. Nothing new really I just need to rest and take it easy. Baby’s heart rate is good and strong; he is moving all over the place the midwife got to see my belly moving all over. The midwife I saw is not the normal one I see; I will see Linda on the 14th.

Todd’s interview that was on the 1st is now going to be moved to probably the 15th. I pray he gets a job in Ohio soon!

What a week!!

The past week has been crazy! Starting last Tuesday there has been something going on with someone in our house. Last Tuesday I was going to swat the dog for peeing on TJ’s toy and I hit the chair and broke my middle finger on my right hand. That made doing anything hard, like making Thanksgiving dinner.  Good thing my mom was here to help me.

After Thanksgiving dinner TJ got sick all over the place, it was not from the meal because he hardly ate anything, it is so sad seeing a 14 month old baby get sick. He had a tummy flu or something, he was a little sick still on Friday but. Was really grumpy, and started pulling his ears on Saturday.

We took him to the doctor to find out he has a double ear infection and a rash form of strep. Poor baby we got him his medicine and went home to find out Ian was sick with the tummy flu! Ian was so sick all night I have never seen anyone get sick as often as he did in my life.

As I was getting Ian and TJ ready for bed I went to the bathroom and found out I was spotting, ok things are all going crazy now. I called L&D and was told to come in and get checked out. With having a baby born at 23 week due to bleeding, this was a hard thing to deal with. I spent a lot of time just sitting there praying. Went to the L&D to find out that the OB on call was the same OB that was on call when Elijah was born at 23 weeks. I just prayed more, after all it is all in Gods hands.

I was monitored and Jacob was doing awesome, the nurse and the doctor said he was very reactive more reactive then most babies at his gestational age. My cervix is long closed and firm. Jacobs head is down but when the doctor examines me he moves away. So all is good with him. I have been told to rest as much as I can and just take it easy.

Sunday morning we woke up to everyone being sick, we all had the tummy flu Sunday was a crazy day here for sure. I am still spotting a little but it seems to be getting better

The day after Thanksgiving!

Well yesterday went well! We had deep fried Turkey that came out really yummy!! Green bean casserole with fresh green beans it came out great. Sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, stuffing. Everything was so yummy!!!

We talked to Maya in the morning she seems to be having fun we had talked to Shane on Monday so did not talk to him last night, that was hard.

After the meal we had pumpkin pie, chocolate raspberry cheese cake, and meninc meat pie. Everyone had a pretty good time. After we were all done and we were cleaning the kitchen poor TJ got so sick!! We had to rush him to the shower to clean him up, it was not that he ate to much it was he got the tummy flu!!

He has it today still to his poor little tummy. It is so sad seeing a baby get sick. He seems to be doing a lot better tonight. sure hope he gets over it soon!.

The Day before Thanksgiving

Well yesterday morning one of our dogs peed on TJ’s toys. So I went to swat him and hit the chair with my finger instead!! I broke my index finger, well that is how it is being treated it could not be x-rayed. It hurts so bad is all blue/purple and very swollen.  Dizzy has been upset with us and peeing everywhere since we got Ian his cat kitty, Dizzy is being a bad dog!

Going to be making my raspberry cheese cakes today for tomorrow will be fun with a hurt finger. Simple things like folding clothes, changing diapers, brushing my hair hurt. Feels so silly not being able to do things that are very normal in my life.

We will be picking up the turkey later on today, last year it was almost forgotten! Tonight we have church our normal Wednesday service with extra time for everyone to say what they are thankful for.

My feet!!

Oh my! Yesterday was so busy; we started off going and getting the tires done on the Van. The dropped some things off at Good Will. Then the guys got their hair cut, after that we put in our order for our fresh turkey. We had videos and some of Todd’s games to get rid of. Ian and TJ rode on the train they had there TJ was scared, but did not cry he was just not happy.

After the mall trip it was off to Sam’s club to get food. We spent about 3 hours walking around and getting what we needed from Sam’s. When we go to Sam’s we all get a work-out. Ian  started not feeling well as we were at Sam’s so we went home after that. Unloaded TJ napped then Todd and I went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things we could not find at Sam’s.

Needless to say our feet hurt!

Yawn!

So tired today, pray all goes well. Ian got done with all his school yesterday! Shannon was a bit spacey and did not and Shawn is always hard.  TJ is getting into everything, but he is at that age he listens well and stops when he gets into no-no’s. He is being a picky eater here lately makes it hard because he needs to eat. He loves fruit and cheese, we are trying to see how much of each he needs to keep him regular and that is hard. He love OJ it is his favorite drink. Getting him to eat meats is hard.

Happy Birthday Shane!!

Today is Shanes birthday he is 16 today it is very strange not having him here for his birthday. Hope he has a great day.

Going to be weird not having Maya here going though the schedule today, wonder if we will get done earlier then normal. If so I hope to do some sewing with Ian and maybe Shannons help. We are going to make some pillows little soft ones for pillow fights with TJ for when he get bored. Would also like to work on making some jumpers and skirts.

I am going to try to make the patterns myself so that if I feel good about what I am doing I could maybe sell them in the future. I would really like to help bring some money into our house as I raise the children; I have been looking into a lot of work at home jobs. Longaberger, Usborne Book, Party Lite, Natural Family Boutique, or Home and Garden Party. I feel doing one of theses jobs will help a lot till I can become confident in my sewing and then  maybe open a online store.

So many things to think about, I am praying about it and God will lead me to what I need to do soon!

A different Thanksgiving

Well Maya is off to Texas … I really don’t like it when she goes but she has to see her father. It is so hard to get her back on track in school when she comes back from a month away from it doing nothing but playing!

She is excited to be going out there and having Thanksgiving there it will be the first time for her to have it there. Just wish that she would not be taken from her school so often during our teaching time. But that is a different story.

This Thanksgiving is going to be so very different then all of our Thanksgiving in the past. Shane is going to be in Oklahoma. Maya is going to be in Texas. Normally we have the whole family here that lives in New Mexico. This year we will be short 2 and I don’t like it. But I am thankful Shane is getting the help he needs at the Christian Boys Ranch, it is helping him out a lot. My little Maya well hope she comes back still a sweet little girl and not spoiled. Both of them will be thought of on Thanksgiving and missed.
