Facing the GIANTS
If you have not been to see the movie, Facing the Giants, this is one movie that I think everyone should go and see. If you could only go to one more movie ever in your life, this is the movie to see.
We just made an opportunity to go see it today and take our son, who is 9 years old. The Holy Spirit was in the theatre with us. Before the movie started I was moved to tears. I really had to work hard not to cry before the movie started. This movie honors God. It is presented on a level of understanding for all ages. It will speak to those who do not believe in Christ, to those walking the fence, and to those who have believed for years. This movie reminds us of our purpose in life. Our purpose is to worship, serve, and minister to the King. We are here for His purpose and no other.
The football coach in this film faces adversity like no one I have ever known. When all is falling down though, he turns to the Word and prayer. God speaks to him through others and through events that happen during the remainder of the film.
I don't want to give the movie away so I won't say much more. I can tell you that if this movie was for no one else in this earth, it was for me. It has helped me see some things the Lord has been speaking to me about and is going to help me as I enter a new season in my life. An unimaginable season for me. I will share more as I embark on this journey and see what the Lord has in store.
