“This isn’t so bad actually this is cake.” Kate thought as she smiled. She looked around scanning the area to get her boundaries. “Look oh look a young girl that is young is walking in the forest all alone.” A young high pitched irritating voice exclaimed. Kate felt like she couldn’t move. She was stunned. She knew that no one would dare to fallow her. They were all too scared. Even Matt was scared. “Umm whoever you are I’m a black belt in judo so you better not mess with me.” Kate warned in a shaky hesitant voice. “Tee hee. Well what a scared human that is scared.” The voice said again. Kate backed up into a very large tree and looked around panicky. Her heart was racing a mile a minute and a drop of sweat was roiling down her face. The trees had turned a dark sea green color. The groves had become even more defined then they were to begin with and it made the tree look like it was smiling at her. The grass had changed as well. It had turned a midnight blue color. And looked as though it was blowing in the wind but there was no wind. The leaves on the trees had turned black were doing the same as the grass. The strangest thing was that the mushrooms were walking aroud and they had faces. But the strange thing is that none of these things looked evil to Kate. They actually looked familiar. “Who or what are you?” Kate asked. The mushroom people just stared at her. Their three navy blue eyes fallowing her every move even when she twitched one eye would fallow her arm and the middle eye would stay right on her body. The high pitched voice just laughed but then suddenly it just stopped. Kate at this point didn’t know what to do. “This is not real this can’t be real. It’s just a bad dream. It will go away soon, Kate.” Kate thought to herself. She closed her eyes and leaned her head up against the trunk of the tree and let out a sigh to calm herself down. Kate’s eyes shot open to the deafening sound of a crack. Kate look up to see that the huge branch above her head had an even huger crack in it. As she looked up tiny fragments of bark fell into her eyes. The pain from the bark in her eye was nothing she had ever experienced before. It burned and dug into her eyeballs at the same time. She could feel her eyes watering to try to heal its self but it did no good. There was something in the bark that made her eyes feel like they were on fire. The water from her eyes only spread the burning. She rubbed them hard but only pressed the bark in more. “AHH MY EYES ARE BURNING AND I THINK THEIR BLEEDING! SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE! ANNA, BEN SOMEONE, ANYONE HELP ME! I DON’T CARE IF I GET THE AIR MATTRES! I JUST WANT TO GET OUT OF HERE! THIS WHOLE BET IS SUPID! AHH MY EYES HURT AND I CAN’T SEE! HELP ME, PLEASE!” Kate screamed at the top of her lungs wile tears ran down her dirt covered face. At this point the branch was hanging by a thread and immediately gave way and with great speed plunged down towards her. Kate let out a blood curdling scream. The sound of a sword unsheathing made her jump. She head the sound of a sword cutting through something. The noise made her look up though her throbbing watery eyes. She felt something cool and wet drop in her eyes. She rubbed her eyes like there was no tomorrow and with slight hesitation slowly opened her eyes. There was no pain at all she felt as though nothing ever had happened. Kate looked around with her newly healed eyes to see where the healing water had come from. To her surprise it was a sword. It look as though the entire blade was made out of water. It glistened in the moonlight. Her eyes wondered to who was wielding the odd blade. He was a tall man who looked to be about early twenties maybe late teens. He had very pale skin and ice blue eyes that were shaped like he had distant Asian ancestors. He had high cheekbones and a strong chin. His raven hair seemed to shimmer in the moonlight. One lock of hair was separated from the rest with a brown leather ribbon and a hawk feather that laid right beside his ear. He was wearing 16^th century jet black armor. Also he looked like he had been in some sort of battle. He was wounded badly. Blood soaked the inner layer of his armor and dripped on to the grass. His hands favored his right shoulder where a bright yellow skinny arrow stuck out of him. “Don’t move.” He said coldly. Kate froze. “But you’re…” Kate stuttered. “I said don’t move!” The man barked while moving the sword up to her neck. The sword glowed and changed into a plain metal sword. “If you, mortal, knows what’s good for you go far away from here and never come back.” He said. “But you’re hurt I just can’t leave you here to die. You just saved my life.” Kate exclaimed while a shiver went down her spine. “That was not a suggestion. GO NOW!” The man yelled. Kate took a small step back and then another and another. Finally she was far enough away to feel comfortable to turn around and start walking. “I hope he’ll be okay. Those wounds are so deep. Maybe he isn’t human so he might be okay.” Kate thought.
