Back Yard Academy

• Nov. 25, 2006 - 5th grade geometry

First of all, YIKES.  I was never all that good at math (just check my bank account on any given day! ).  I was filling in my lesson plan this evening and I have to teach Thomas pi, diameter, radius and circumfrence.  The Saxon book just kinda grazes over it so I went in search of some good online supplementals.  Here's what I found

Measurement of Figures

Mrs. Glosser's Math Goodies

AAAmath

Eraserdog (free until the end of the year) many wonderful worksheets!

Eduplace (a great video lesson)

What Type of Homeschooler Are You?

Salvador Dali Melting clocks are not a problem in your reality. You are an unschooler. You will tolerate a textbook, but only as a last resort. Mud is your friend. You prefer hands-on everything. If your school had an anthem, it would be Dont Worry, Be Happy. Visit my blog: http://www.GuiltFreeHomeschooling.blogspot.com
