Mar. 19, 2009 - My Pleasure
Sorry that this entry could not be on this morning; I was at work. But I thought that today I would start my series "What You Should Do Today" with "My Pleasure." This way of saying, "Your Welcome" does not really get you anywhere in becoming a great leader; but, more people will smile and get a kick out of it. Today, every time someone says thank you, you say "My Pleasure."
I got this habit of saying my pleasure working at "Chick-fil-A." And I began to
realize that every time I would say it out side of work, people would enjoy it; and it does impress adults and higher officals.
So, come on, give it a try and try to get use to it.
I am also going to do a "quote of the day."
Quote of the Day
"There are myths which displace truth and there are myths which give wings to truth." - William Ernest Hocking (Lincoln's Adviser)

Hi, and welcome to HB! There are a lot of like-minded teens here that'll probably add you as friend.
Cool blog, btw.

Haha I like that idea :) It shows that you actually enjoy doing things for others, rather than just doing it because you have too.
Oh and I like the quote of the day idea also :)

Thats a hard question!! I love taking pictures of nature, especially water. My favorite place for photography is the beach, but we only go in the summer so that will have to wait :) I think my favorite kind of photos are high contrast B&W, such a great effect.

Thats a neat idea :)
RYC: Thanks :) I have "Do Hard Things" as well, but I haven't actually read it yet. PCC = Pensacola Christian College? I'm not sure where exactly I'm going yet (heehee I know its late..) but my choices are (in order of preference) Tennessee Temple University, Piedmont Baptist College, and Bob Jones University. What are you interested in majoring in?

That's great :).
I'm going to major in Christian/Biblical Counseling. My dream is to have a children's home type of ministry. A place for kids as an alternative to foster care, but also a place where kids can come from the community to play, get help with homework, or just talk to someone. I'm not sure if that's exactly what will happen; all I know for sure is that Counseling is what I need to do. I like to read and write occasionally, but I'm not involved in much as far as extra-curricular activities. That's mostly because I work for my church's addiction recovery ministry, Victory Home, and between that, teaching Jr. Church, and the other things I'm involved with at my church, it doesn't leave much time leftover. :)

Very nice blog! I look forward to seeing more of your posts.
I don't know if you know about it already or not, but seeing that you are interesting in encouraging young adults to become Godly leaders, I would greatly urge you to check out this website:
www.homeschoolalumni.org
It is an amazing place to connect with other homeschoolers, and a wonderful bouncing off point for sharing your faith and passions with many people.
I have been a member there for two years, and have found it to be an incredibly good experience. I have learned so much and gained so many dear friends.
God bless,
Hannah
