Mar. 21, 2009 - Letter to Heroes
Every leader loves encouragement! Parents, pastors, youth pastors, grandparents, Sunday school teachers, policemen… the list is endless.
A few weeks ago I was a student at TeenPact [ http://www.teenpact.com/ ] Virginia, which is a program that teaches young Christian teenagers the importance of leadership and politics. The greatest impact on me, without a doubt, was the TeenPact staff. They were great young teen leaders, who I grew to admire. Most of them were one or two years younger than me. I appreciated them so much that on Wednesday night I wrote them all an individual letter of encouragement and thanks. When I handed them out, each one of them thanked me with sincere gratitude without having read it yet. The next day after having read the letter, each one came to me on separate occasions thanking me for making their week. Most of them said that they had always wondered what it would be like to get any feedback from someone whose life had actually been changed and greatly impacted. They had been deeply encouraged by the written letter of thanks and appreciation.
So today, I challenge you to write a letter to that person who blesses you or is a hero/heroine of yours. It will make their day beautiful, and they will always be looking out for you and encouraging you in return. Whether it be your pastor or your parents; hand it out to them in person or send it by mail.
That’s all for today; and it’s “My Pleasure” to be talking to you “Wonderful” people.
Quote of the Day
“History will be kind to me for I intend to write it.” – Winston Churchill

Hey, what's up! Your sister told me about your blog, so I thought I'd say hey. Cool entry. Yeah, I wrote my baseball coach a letter after the season ended one year, and he really appreciated it and said he'd keep it . I'll have to find someone else to do that for. I've also been trying the "My Pleasure" thing--it's fun.

Thats awesome!!!!! I think it is better to have HUGE dreams and ideas and plans for your life than to think small. God is so amazing in what He can do with us for his glory.
I am trying hard to keep that in mind for my future even though I'm still in my younger teans.
Have you ever read Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris?
It's a super good book! And it helped me a lot! It's really good! I encourage you to look into it.
