I received my The Old Schoolhouse magazine and boy is it chocked full of fun and informative articles! This is the issue with all the Convention news as well as an entire section devoted to FREEBIES! You can read about the Freebies at this link.
My favorite article this issue is "Following the Iditarod" and it begins on page 134. We have been reading about sled dog racing and Siberian Huskies so this is a great time to follow this year's Iditarod (which begins on March 1st this year.) The author of this article, Dena Wood, has given us many resources to find at our local library, as well as on-line resources to help us with our study of the Great Race.
If you don't have a subscription to TOS, you may order just this one issue at The Schoolhouse Store or you can subscribe and receive all this great information at your home every quarter!
Enjoy your Winter Issue! (And meet me and my family on pages 40-41)
We've enjoyed folllowing the Iditorod a couple of times, and Marissa has asked about it for this year. Time to go look at the racers! We just put the Serum Run on our time line last night.
Haven't gotten my mag yet, but will be interested in reading the article.
