The 57th Annual National Day of Prayer will take place Thursday,

See the copy of the state of Tennessee's Proclamation signed by the Governor.

Passover

Posted in holidays

As we approach the beginning of the Passover Celebration, I've found (with a little help from Jamin) some great resources for you to use to celebrate the Passover at your house. It's good to know our 'roots' and how Jesus fulfills the prophesy.

Jamin and her children made great Lapbooks about the Passover. Her blog is full of all the links she used to create their lapbooks.

If you would like to have a Seder yourself, then find a free download of the Messianic Passover Haddagah here.

If you don't want to download that, you can find a Messianic Seder here that you don't have to download to read. Or one at GodandScience.org

You will find the Messiah in the Passover at AMF International.

Find questions and answers at MessianicJews.net

You can find some Passover printables at Kaboose.com

Of course, About.com has lots of Passover printables.

Learn more about what Passover is about at the aish.com web site.

Have a blessed week!

Valentine's day ideas

Posted in holidays
It's time to get ready for Valentine's Day! Let's see if we can find something fun to make and do.

Of course, Kid's Domain is always a great place to find any craft.

Family Fun is one of the places we frequent a LOT.

There's fun stuff to make at All Crafts

I always love DLTK's site. They do a great job in organizing their crafts and ideas.

I seem to find About.com hard to use. But they do have many Valentine things to do and make.

Party Ideas:
Little Debbie has ideas for your Valentine's party.

Apples 4 the Teacher has some good ideas for a classroom party, but I'm sure we could make that work for our situations.

And last but not least, Family Fun has many great ideas for your Valentine's party.

Happy Valentine's day to all!

Christmas Crafts

Posted in holidays
It's that time of the year to celebrate the birth of our Lord. Let's see if we can find some REAL Christmas crafts for kids!

Look at Apples4theteacher. This has some great ideas for REAL Christmas crafts. They also have some Christmas coloring pages.

At Danielle's Place we find a lot of Christmas crafts with several being the True meaning type activities.

Coloring Book Fun has some cute Christmas and other Bible story coloring pages.

Looking at Kid's Domain, I've found a few genuine Christmas crafts, like an angel craft here ;
A fluffy lamb here ; Nativity wreath ornament here ; A cute ribbon angel ornament ;
Easy sparkling stars ; And some pretty "stained glass" decorations here .

At DLTK's Growing Together web site, I've found Christmas Advent Coloring pages , and Advent projects here . Well, maybe we can use those next year!  But they do have a good selection of Religious Christmas crafts here.

Oh look, a Christmas on-line quiz at Christianet.com.  Let's test our knowledge about the Christmas Story

There are some "Name of Jesus" ornaments to make as well as the "Gifts He's given us" ornaments to make at Homeword.ws

And last but not least, the Bartholomew County Library in Indiana has a great site with lots of Religious Christmas links on it. Scroll down to the middle of the page.

Merry Christmas to all!
