Mar. 13, 2006 - Gentle Reminders
I read this article today and this little blurb was at the end of the article- very encouraging for me today 
- maybe it will encourage someone else !! It seems as though God has a way of giving out gentle reminders of the "BIG PICTURE"
As parents, we often feel that the road is long and almost never-ending at the beginning of the journey. Our strength seems too little, our patience too weak, our selfish nature too strong. But with God's grace and mercy, Christ calls us to follow His example, trusting that as we lay down our lives, he will bless our children with the strength and vision for their calling in service to the kingdom of Christ . Isn't that our parental desire?

That was SOMETHING!! I sometimes feel like this journey - parenting and homeschooling - is never ending.... like every day I deal with the same things.... But then I look at my 8 year old and think... He is halfway grown! I sure pray that I am being a Godly example to him.... that I am raising him up in a way that brings glory to God!! (That I am doing that for all of my children.)

That is so true!!! If we dont keep our eyes on Jesus, then we will sink into the ocean of misery, self pity, and discontentedness!
