The bounty from the garden....yellow, red, purple, oh my!

Ray has been working hard.  The corn is gone, much to Pierce's dismay.  His favorite place was the corn.  I think he was sad to see it go.   But the "Corn grow up" until it was time to harvest.  The corn is now in the freezer.  We never thought the time would come for the tomatoes.  We had LOTS of blooms, but no tomatoes.  Then we would have a few turn and the girls (and Ray) would be eyeing them and they would never make it into the house.  The squash has been plentiful.  I have frozen some of it and cooked some of it.  Well enough, here are the newest pics showing off the bounty.  I am not sure how well these pics show the variety of colors.  The little ones are cherry and grape and come in puple, red and yellow.  The green ones are called 'Mister Stripey'.  They are pretty interesting and fun to have such a variety.

The green ones at the top are the "Mr. Stripey".

The very dark ones are the purple.  This picture

doesn't really do them justice.

The yellow squash is actually supposed to be

hubbard although I am not sure they look like

that.  The others are some kind of melon.

We picked them a little too early but they are

still YUMIE!
