Jan. 24, 2009 Thought I'd post this...
Sing, O Muse, of the land of my birth, That sits in the middle of our fertile earth. Sing of my love and affinity, Of the fair land called Trinity.
Sing of the plains stretching great and wide, Tell of the mountains, where evil hides. Sing of the ocean, all white with spray, And Sing, O Muse, of the beautiful day.
See the great fountains of Breccia! Note the green trees of Talc all covered in copia*. See the Trinitian shores all covered in sand, And See, O Muse, Candoria's dark lands.
Go to the Forest of the King, And see the great trees without a ring. Go to His castle and see that no plant dwindles, And Go, O Muse, to where love was first kindled.
And now, O Muse, sweep me away, And take me back before the break of day. Take me back to my fair Trinity, Where lies all my love and affinity.
*copia is a large, darked stripped, tropical fruit found only in Talc. |

Sep. 17, 2008 Outlawed Princess Tag
Here is a section for people I've tagged to place their works. This is OutlawedPrincess' area for her and all the people she tags now. You'll see once this gets going.
Here is the starter paragraph. Don't freak, I'm writing this solely for my imagination and haven't prepared anything. Let's try Sci-Fi to start. The rules are, you have to include the following paragraph as your STARTER. You take this wherever you want it, but the word limit is 2,000 words. No revisions! (unless it's spelling) Once you're satisfied you're done, post the results in the comment section under this post. Sorry, no reward except for the great feeling you get when you write. Good luck, and don't let your imagination take you too far away from home!

Carston yanked the clip out of his ancient Colt handgun. He slammed another in as fast as he possibly could and fired five shots down the dark corridor of the engine room. He heard an explosion, probably some compressed gas can, and then a roar that would chill any other person's blood instantly. For Carston, that sound was satisfaction; he was taking vengence for every crew member that had been mercilessly slaughtered. He didn't know what that thing was, but Carston did know that it would not claim him before he had fired his last shot. He leaped from the cover of darkness and raced up the stairs. |

Apr. 28, 2008 Excerpts from "Of Kantare and Ninwaii"
Ok, maybe just a little more...
Kantare
Everyone waited, and Kantare knew they were waiting for him. He took a deep breath, set his shoulders, and strode through the doors. The hall was long, and the great throne seemed a long ways away. He was walking into manhood; each step he advanced took him farther from his past. The feeling of responsibility was enormous, thoughts of the defenseless people over the wide spread of earth racing through his mind. They were counting on him to save them though they knew it not. Kantare saw Ninwaii grasping her father’s shoulders in a loving embrace. She looked up and smiled at him; content with life for the first time since she had left he father’s abode. He saw Glyn at Hronthir’s side looking relaxed, safe, and happy for the first time in her life. His thoughts also brought him to Lillian so far away in his home of Trinity, and knew that Amstar was counting on him to keep her safe. These pictures were grafted into his mind, and became the source of his determination. This was the reason he had received this sword. This was the reason he was fighting against all hope of success. This was a noble cause; the will of Yahweh.
At that moment, as he strode down the marble floor, each step echoing in his head, he solemnly accepted his task. He had reached his destination; he was no longer a boy, and he was no longer defenseless. Kantare knew his life’s calling, and he stepped up to greet it with poise. He was the Last Bearer.
