One busy week...

This past week has been so busy!

On Saturday, our church had a Sewing Class. The mothers got together with their daughters and learned to sew. Nearly everyone completed a simple skirt. My mom and  Bethany  were both there as was I. Mom and Bethany were both helpers to the less experienced sewers. I helped too, but mostly in another way. Three of the moms brought their babies with them. All three of which are under one year old. I had the pleasure of taking care of each of these babies in turn, allowing the mother to sew. It was so fun! The oldest is 9 month old boy, the next a 4 month old boy and the youngest is a 3 month old girl. They are all so sweet!!!

The next day at church we had Baby Dedication. It was so sweet! Five or six babies all  a year and a half in age and younger were all dedicated. Afterwards we all went to the park for several hours in celebration. We had a wonderful time! I spent half of my time (at least) in taking care of our pastor’s youngest daughter. She is one and a half and SO adorable!

Then yesterday evening we went to our pastors house to celebrate Reformation Day. We had a wonderful time! Our pastor and his wife have five children, thirteen and under. The oldest is a boy and the other four are girls. There was also another family from church present. They have only one boy eight years old. We dressed up like the reformers (well kind of), ate a huge feast, then the young people played games and talked while the parents just talked. I had so much fun! We stayed until 1:30 in the morning so I am somewhat tired today, but I would not have left earlier for anything.

Just wanted to share about my week!

About Me

My name is Rebekah. I am a Christian who tries to order her life according to the ways of the Bible. I believe the earth and everything in it was created by God in six literal days about 6000 years ago. I believe the earth was created perfect and man was given a choice to obey or disobey. He chose to disobey. Now we are all sinners as descendents of the first who sinned.I believe about 2000 years ago Christ, came down to earth as a little baby, born to a virgin girl. He lived a perfect life. He was mistreated and killed, but on the third day rose from the grave. He then ascended up to heaven and if we believe in Him, we will be cleansed and forgiven of all our sins and we will one day join Him in Heaven and have everlasting life.  (John 14:2-4 and John 3:16)

We live in Arizona in the United States of America. It is very hot in the summer, but I love it here! I am almost 17 years of age and the eldest of four girls. I have dark blond hair and light blue eyes. My younger sisters are ages 15, 8 and 6. We are all homeschooled and have been from the beginning. I love it! I like to call myself “The Lord’s Daughter” because it reminds me I am a daughter of my Lord.

I enjoy doing many things with my sisters and parents. I am very thankful God gave them to me. I have a Dad who is very amusing and kind. He has dark brown hair and green eyes. My Mom has hair and eyes similar to mine and is enjoyable to be around.

My 15 year old sister, Bethany has dark hair and green eyes like my Dad. She is very energetic and loves to do things such as scooters, running etc... My 8 year old sister has curly blond ringlets and dark blue eyes. She likes to talk a lot and fix things. My youngest sister is very curious and inquisitive. She always asks tons of questions! She had red/blond hair and very pretty blue eyes.

We have three cats: Keziah, Solomon and Elias. We have a male Desert Tortoise named Ecclesiastes and a Beagle dog named Amos. Amos is VERY sweet!

My mom has a blog called Rambling Thoughts of a Homeschool Mom .... My 15 year old sister Bethany also has a blog called Bethany's Blog.

Our family likes animals. This is obvious, when you know how many we have! We have 3 cats: Keziah a 12 year old female cat, Solomon a 9 year old male cat and Elias a 2 year old male cat. We have an 11 year old Desert Tortoise named Ecclesiastes, a nine month old Beagle named “Sir Amos of Country Lane” (Amos for short) and 2 fish (we are planning to get more of these!) We also enjoy feeding birds, especially hummingbirds.
