The Luthers Life

Jun. 5, 2009 - Changes on the Homefront

WOW, it's been awhile since I've posted to my blog so here I go. With the econnomy the way it is right now I have gone back to work as hubby's job is not stable. Not able to find anything in my field of expertise, I am working as  a cook at a residential treatment facility for youth. I have to say I really enjoy it and feel like I inherited another 25 kids. Summers kicking into gear and we are planning a couple of family trips. Hmmm, yes, WE are still homeschooling and it's been very interesting but we have finished everything sooner then we ever have before. The TEA parties also kept me busy and will continue to as the next round is planned for the fourth of July! And soon it will be campaigning again as our governor race drawers closer. The most exciting thing is a trip we have planned to go to the creation musuem this summer and we can't wait. We are still working on lots of home improvement projects too. Let's see, besides trying to keep up on housework and everything else, I have no time left but this is only a season. I don't plan to work full-time forever. Well what else can I say. Life is short but God is good!

Just know you are not alone in the full time homeschooling world. I started working as a RN on nights and weekends in Jan, and my word for myself is let go...oh is that a hard one. It is almost 5 am and then I get to home to bed in 3 hourse, yea! This season may be a year or two, due to Dave Ramsey; but the Lord blesses those that are good stewards. We will pray for your continued perserverance in this time and season. Take care...Jeri
