Jun. 19, 2009 - Camping in the Rain
Every seasoned camper has experienced their ups and downs with weather while camping. We camp several time per summer but with my work schedule we will only be able to go twice this summer. The first time was last weekend. Nothing like setting up in the rain and taking down in the rain. Our Sunday was alright, although a little chilly. The kids still managed to have a fair ammount of fun, however Monday morning we woke up and the general consesus was......WE ARE GOING HOME, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Yes of course I forgot my camera so I have no pictures to share but never the less it was an experience to remember and I had the dirty laundry to prove it!

We went camping Sun-Tues this past week and had to pack up in the rain, too. My biggest fear is getting caught in a thunder storm. I am praying we can avoid that. We have several trips planned this summer, so we are bound to get rained on. Hope you're making progress on your laundry. Mine is almost caught up.

Oh do I know about camping in the rain!! Whoa mama! we just got back from a trip to South Dakota, a 6 hour drive to see the sights ( rushmore, etc ) and camp. It was crazy storm week there. We got terrible storms all week....but we stayed dry in our tents, praise the Lord. It was COLD, so cold we had to go get a heater from a local walmart and an extension cord and put it in our tent ( we had the kids come in ours the last night b/c it was going to get very cold again. Anyway, lots o fun!!!
