Click Schooling

Hi Everyone,

I know it's been AGES since I have posted, so I wanted to post something for you that will help you greatly.
ClickSchooling  - Get free,
daily, web-based curriculum ideas that save you time and money
and boost your kids' knowledge of the world. The free reviews
are sent in a daily email, Monday through Saturday, that are
focused on a specific subject as follows:

* Monday = Math
* Tuesday = Science
* Wednesday = Language Arts
* Thursday = Social Sciences
* Friday = Virtual Field Trip
* Saturday = Electives: Music, Art, & Languages

The sites include excellent information delivered in a
student-friendly, multi-media format, and often contain free
interactive games as well as printable lessons and materials
that can be tweaked to your needs and interests whether you
are homeschooling, unschooling, or after-schooling. Many
teachers use these recommended resources in the classroom as
well. Most of the sites are suitable for a wide age range.

It's Almost Time!!

WOW!  It's hard to believe that I have only 13 weeks left before my NEW baby girl is due.  This was a surprise pregnancy but we are thrilled to be having another girl.

This pregnancy has been a hard one which is why I have been so quite on my page this year.  Once morning sickness kicked in, it just about did me in...HA HA HA!!!

This is going to be a challenging new year for our family, but one that is met with much thanksgiving.  My husband and I decided to go with A Beka Academy this year for my girls that are 14 and 16.  This will give me much need spare time for the new baby.  Our items have arrived for the year and they look GREAT.  I will keep you updated on the progress.  We will still be using our notebooking skills with this curriculum.

How To Start Notebooking with FREE Subject Planner

How To Start Notebooking

There is no correct or incorrect way when it comes to notebooking.  Each notebook is an “only one of its kind”.  Each child will glean their own knowledge and see things differently from another which makes their notebooks “their own” creation.  Their notebook will reflect their own individuality.

NO subject is restricted when it comes to notebooking.

It takes time and planning when first starting out in notebooking.  Once you get started and have a routine you will find that it will take no time to prepare for your subjects.

I like to start with what curriculum I will be using IF any.  Purchasing textbooks or other educational material is not always essential to teach your children properly.

A course of study is valuable.  Mapping this out will help keep you focused on your overall objectives of what you want to get accomplished.

We need to grow accustomed to thinking “outside the box”.  There is no reason why we have to cover every subject every day.  We need to envision doing things differently.  Become inventive with your schedule (unless you have legal restrictions).

A schedule will help you put your course of study into a realistic layout so that you can make the utmost use of your time, energy, and materials.

Below is a link of planning pages I made that may help you get organized with subject material.
