Another God hook-up!!!
Posted in Blog Reviews

Don't forget the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church is November 13 (&20), 2005!
ONLY TWO DAYS AWAY!!!!
I love God! He is so awesome!!!!!!!!! Most recently he's hooked me up with a stay-at-home Mom who mirrors my struggles and other areas of my life. I'm so excited for her! She's totally sold on joining the ranks of the home schooling movement. Her journey there is somewhat similar to mine, emotionally anyway. I'd like for you to meet her. Her name is CyberMommy and you can meet and greet her at her blog called A Day in the Life.
I'd also like to mention that if it wasn't for pianogal86 I might not have met her. Pianogal86 directed me to her mother's webpage called Christian Moms of Many Blessings. It's here that I met CyberMommy and a beautiful friendship was born. So, I thank my online friend and tech guru, pianogal86!!!!
It's so amazing how God is using HSB to bless me and use me as a blessing. I just see this as another extension of God's love for our home school in particular. I know He loves all of your home schools too, but I'm just really feeling the love through this new friendship. I would never have met her if it wasn't for His calling me to home school. It's so wonderful to have a girlfriend to talk to about life and home school! God is so awesome!!!!!!! Thank You, Jesus, for my newfound friend! Thank you Suarez's for this wonderful place!!!!!

Blessed by HSB
Posted in Blog Reviews

Don't forget the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church is November 13 (&20), 2005!
I thank God so much for this place. I have met some friends taht only God could hook up.
One such friend is LovingHim4Ever. She has blessed me so much as a prayer partner. She's sent me things that she was just passing along but it ended up ministering deeply to me. She also told me of things God has put on her heart concerning me and I find that I was just askeing God for the same thing or a certain circumstance calls for that type of prayer. It's amazing!!!! GOD IS AWESOME!!!!! He put it on the hearts of the Suarez couple to start to this place. I'm so thankful that they have continued and persevered to get this place up and running and so beautiful like it is now! It's a brooding place for blessings!!!!
Another blessing has been FamilyMedicine. Her insights to the world of medicine from a Biblical standpoint is truly refreshing. I'm so glad God has brought her into my life! Recently, she's going to be helping me and my family out in our endeavor to be healthy! I'm so excited to be partnering with her. Her partnership and help has been an answer to a long time prayer and heartfelt desire of my husband and I. She's a dear friend in the Lord.
Speaking of dear friends, AHeart4Homeschool has certainly touched my heart. Even though she's miles away living in Sweden with her lovely family, God has arranged it so that we can meet every now and again on instant messenger and write out prayers for each other. She's my long distance pryer partner!
I needed one and God sent me her. I'm so deeply touched by her words of wisdom and her gentle quiet spirit. I met her on HSB one day and we've become fast friends.
One of my newer God hook-up friends is HisWillingVessel. She continually lets everyone know she's available as a mentor in child training (among other things). She has helped me of laate with my youngest son. Her username is exactly how she presents herself, as a willing vessel of Christ. She's willing to pour out her life into others and give them the encouragement and instruction they need. I found her by surfing the friends columns on some blogs. I'm so glad God anoints our random doings and sets up up for major blessings. I've been praying for mentors to come into my life and here she is. She's a God-send!!!!
So as you can see HSB has been enriching my life in the few months I've been a member here. The Holy Spirit is moving through all of our internet connections. I'm so glad He's welcome in HSB to run things how He sees fit.

TOS gift #18
Posted in The Old Schoolhouse Magazine
I've been waiting for this and wondered when it would come. I didn't take into account that magazines print every two months.
My first edition of TEACH magazine arrived yesterday and I have lookd through the articles. It has touched my heart as an endearing magazine of great worth, but it's not like I'm dying to get it. Some articles really spoke to my heart, but others weren't applicable to me. I'm glad I have it to look through for six months. Their resources are great. I would love to purchase most everything they have. I'm interested in their back issues as well.

TOS gift #17
Posted in The Old Schoolhouse Magazine
I have finally received my $10 gift certificate to Family Christian Stores! I am so happy. I love shopping for things of quality to give my children. I don't think I'll opt for another video (since we've cut down T.V. they barely watch them anyway). I'm leaning more towards a good book. I do have my list of books that I've wanted to get for them... I just hope they're under $10...

Baruch haShem Adonai
Posted in Blog Reviews
Baruch haShem Adonai is the name of this wonderful blog I found quite by chance. I came to this blog from a comment she posted on Raquel's blog. Her story is fascinating! She's a Native American Indian who is saved and has a heart for Sweden. She's married a Swede and lives there now. She's telling her whole story in her blog. What intrigues me is that she's a part of another oppressed people group of the Europeans. Most early Europeans climbed to their fame on the backs (blood, sweat and tears) of many others that they no longer even want to recognize much less thank. I'm interested to hear her thoughts and views. She has said she doesn't celebrate the 4th of July. I can understand that. Another thing that intrigues me about her is that she's interested in Hebrew. I am too and often break down words in the Bible to their Greek or Hebrew meaning so I'll use them correctly in the verse I'm reading.
I was captivated by her picture of a castle in Sweden. It graces the top of her blog and strikes me as a most wonderful structure. Her template is so wonderful. It reminds me of fabric I would sew with. She has a place in her links for her own collection of resource links. I highly recommend you check these out! She's got tons of stuff! I particularly liked the sewing links. There's a pillow case skirt that took my fancy (you'll be reading more about that in my sewing category), but everything there is so helpful! This site it wonderful!

My Random Blog Picks
Posted in Blog Reviews
Okay, I think I missed Random Blog Day, but I'm hoping nobody will mind. I enjoy reading others' random blog picks. Kinda saves me time in running all over this huge place! This will be the first time I've hit the random blog button and blogged about what I found. I just never had time to do it before. So, here goes...
-
Back To The Books - She hasn't posted since the 6th, but that post is so cute! I like her rendition of Psalms 118:24.
I was trying to check out her Eat More Chicken link in her links section but it didn't work. I hope she fixes it soon. I wonder if she's linking to Chick Fil-A... Her e-mail address has tea for two in it so I'm wondering if she knows anything about tea parties.
-
Hind's Feet - She has pictures of all her infants greeting you at the top of her page. That's so endearing! It makes you want to just fall in love with her blog. I think I've heard of her before, but never ventured over to her blog. Some people said they like reading her blog. She recently posted a poll asking us all what her next pre-K curriculum should be. I wonder if I should share mine? She's also from California.
-
Homeschooling God's Way - She made her blog on Sept. 16th, but hasn't posted anything. In the message under the picture you can tell she's a tad bit unhappy with the public schools.
She has a link to a website that promotes mothers and daughters having tea together. Is this not divine providence (I've been wondering how to do tea parties with my daughter)?!!! Thank you, Jesus!
-
Binna's Blog - This is a homeschooled child's blog. She's between 13 adn 16 and has gone back to public school after being home schooled for four years. Her last post was Sept. 16th in which she answers questions about herself. That made it very easy to give you all that information.
This random blog thing is really working out today! By the way, her picture and quote are so cute!
-
Template Testing Blog - Okay, this blog is very strange. I was trying to figure out if it was a child or adult blog. I looked at the profile and find out it just might be another blog of HomegrownHearts where she tests templates and graphics and other blog-related technology. Very interesting. This is the second testing blog. I started to think something was strange when I clicked on a friend link and they had to same picture. I thought at first it might be her child...okay, thanks for confusing a sistah!
Remind me never to go there again...
-
Mom's Corner - This is really pitiful. She signed on in JULY and still hasn't posted her first entry yet!!! I wonder if she forgot. I do that sometimes with passwords...anyway, I hope she posts soon. She says she loves being a homemaker. I'd love to hear her thoughts... Her template and graphics are so cute.
-
Musings From The Funny Farm - This lady is a riot!
She's totally hilarious in all of her postings...well...all of her recent postings. I'm loving just reading them. Her post on going grocery shopping (8/12/2005) is so funny! She shares funny times as well as quiet times in her garden. I lvoe the balance. Not everything is hysterically funny. There's also some peaceful reflection. Wonderful blog!
I guess this is where I stop. My child is awake and wants to play her game on that wonderful site!!!
Aaawww man...how do I change the color back!!???!! Oh well...I'm out...

Meet my new friend!!!
Posted in Blog Reviews
This is so amazing! The mother I was just talking about is seriously considering home schooling her son through our conversation! She helped me find that wonderful site that aids in teaching your children how to read. I've been trying to help her get in contact with other home schoolers in her area since she's international compared to me. Please go over and greet her and let her know you're there to answer her questions and that she can do this!
Thanks in advance everyone for being so welcoming!!!!
P.S.- For those of you that missed the link in the above text, her blog is at http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/love381/.

Who made soap yesterday!???!!!!!
Posted in Blog Reviews
I really don't like it when this happens. I saw a wonderful blog, left a comment and had to run off the computer so I didn't get the person's name or blog name. She said she had made soap with her daughters (I think). She said she just melted glycerol and added vanilla and other stuff. In one bar she added a leaf that you could see through the bar. I left a comment saying how easy that was (I thought it was much harder). Please, if anybody has seen that post, please, get back to me and let me know who that is and where I can find her blog.
Thank you!

They're here!!!!!
Posted in Blog Reviews
No it's not the aliens.
It's the No Greater Joy Ministry!!!!
WHOO HOOO!!!!!
I am so glad they're being represented in the blogosphere. A lady that works for them and knows them well is stepping up to answer any direct questions about the Pearls.
It hurts my heart to read what some people have been posting about the Pearls. All they gotta do is look at the fruit to tell what kind of tree it is, but nooooo. All they wanna do is slander and backbite and gossip. Don't those people read the Word? Isn't there any amount of fear of the God of Heaven in them at all to not speak evil of anyone? There are so many scriptures about that...
Anyway, her blog name is NGJorderslady and you can visit her here.

sparrow's nest
Posted in Blog Reviews
I was just browsing the 100 latest entries today and noticed someone labelled their post "legacy?". Being taht I have been the recepient of a wonderful godly legacy myself, I wondered what the question mark was for. I clicked on the post and was convicted to the core. Sparrow speaks to me like the Bible does. It just cuts to my heart and lays bare all the inner parts. Just reading that one post did this. I looked over her profile and it's wonderful as well. So many things that were spoken of ring true in my heart as well.
I also love the ambiance when you visit her blog page. It reminds me of the homeschoolblogger.com color scheme, but adds yellow and a print to the background. It just spoke to me. If I had the ability, I'd do something like that for my blog.
The way she listed her links is unique. She lists the blog title under the category title of "Visting" so you automatically understand that these are the blogs she frequents the most. Oh it's exquisite! It feels like royalty and after you read her profile you'll know why. She's the daughter of the King og kings and Lord of lords and she represents herself as such. Beautiful presentation! Just beautiful!
