Good Afternoon

Hello Everyone! This is Cassidy  , head of the SAYR!

As most of you already know, Lydia resigned as head of the society due other obligations she had to attend to. However, she will still keep her membership on this site and help me out.

I will not be on here very much, but I will make sure that all of your questions or comments are answered in a prompt manner.

Alright, then. Let's talk about the "real stuff."

How would you all like to read Let's Roll! by Lisa Beamer? I wrote a book review on it, so go check my blog out and tell me what you think about it and whether you would like to read it or not. That way, we can start on a clean slate.

Also, please don't be afraid to give me feedback! I'm new to this and I am certainly not used to being head of a society, so help me out! Besides, shouldn't we be a team that works together?

Yours Truly,

Cassidy

Head of SAYR

That sounds like an interesting book. Would we still be reading through The Magician's Nephew and a couple of those other books that Lydia mentioned? I would also be really interested in reading The Adventures of Robin Hood.

It would be good to see what everybody else would like to read as well. Here are just a couple that I personally might like to go through:

Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
Till We Have Faces by CS Lewis
Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen

Great to have you as the society leader, Cassidy. :-)

Just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.

The book you mentioned does sound interesting! As well as any of the ones that totustuus mentioned. Here are my suggestions (don't feel pressured to use any of them--I don't care!)

The Giver by Lois Lowry
A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle (maybe too many people have already read this one--I dunno)
Anything by Mildred D. Taylor. The Land is a good one.

I also liked any of the ones Lydia was going to do, particularly The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare, since I've read that author but not that particular book.

Again, those are just some thoughts. I'll be pleased with whatever you decide to do, since I'm not picky about books at all. :-D

Wow...sounds like an intense book. Not to be a weenie or anything, but I might not be able to handle that right now! Sounds interesting, though.
