The Writings Of A Young Woman In Christ

Feb. 4, 2009 - If you can believe it...

Once again, I am doing another tag! This time I was tagged by Anna93. Thanks, Anna. :)  This is an Acrostic Poem tag. I am supposed to pick a word (or short sentence) for every letter in my first and middle initial. But I have two middle names, so in my case I'll do them both. :-)

D - Diligent
A - Always learning
L - Loves the Lord
L - Loyal
A - Active
S - Sings often. ;-)

M - Mature
A - Accomplished
C - Calls upon the Lord often
K - Kindred Spirit
A - Accommodating
Y - Youthful

M - Modest
C - Caring
L - Loves my family
A - Amiable
R - Ready to serve
E - Ever faithful to God
N - Neat freak

So there you have it! Some of them are kinda silly, but they are all true. I had a hard time figuring out what to put down sometimes, and whenever I would ask my family what they thought I should put for a letter and whatnot, they would say something like, "Adorable" or "Lovely" so I just stopped asking them. I had to say, "Okay, thanks for your help, but I'm not going to say that about myself!" [haha]  So they did try to help, but I did better on my own. ;-) Thanks Mom and Raechel!

NOW I'm going to post who I'm tagging.... (Drum roll please)

  • Susannah (Farmgirls)
  • Rebekah (FarmGirlAtHeart)
  • Kris  (BeautifulSomehow)
  • My sister, Raechel (pony)

Have fun you guys!

In Him,
Dallas

Hello!! I'm back on, for only a few minutes : ) The remodeling has kind of slowed down because daddy is busy with work. I sent the e-mail just a few minutes ago, let me know if you got it, or if mars beat you to it. ; D Well, you asked what is new...I can't think of anything right now!! : D Or at least that I have not told you in my e-mail ; ) Mostly school, I have been drawing a lot lately...sketching mostly. I thought about taking pictures of my pictures and posting about it. Not sure yet : ) I better go, it is late (9:20...ha, ha) and I am going to draw a bit before I go to bed. What a long comment!!!!! : )

Hi Dallas!
That tag is so fun -- and it really makes you think. :) (I did it as well.)

It is very hard for me to imagine what a white Christmas would be like! Last year, we went further down south to visit my grandmother, and it was 79 degrees on Christmas day. We were all going around in short sleeves. :D We're all hoping for one good snow. A inch or two is a cause for celebration! :)

Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Feb. 8, 2009 - Hey!

Nice!! Although, I agree with your family. You should have used adorable. :]

I know, it's been so long since I've been on here!!! I miss you too. But don't worry about the email thing- you can get to it when you have the time. No worries!

I'll have to do the tag sometime soon. Haha, hopefully it won't take me as long as it took for me to reply to this!

Love you!!!

Your Romans 1:12 friend,
Kris

Feb. 8, 2009 - Hey

Hello Rebekah! I just recieved your e-mail, and as much as I want to reply to it right now, I'm not going to have enough time --so I thought I'd at least comment and wish you God's blessing on tonight!!! That's so exciting that you're graduating 10th grade, and I'm sure you will do beautifully with "In Christ Alone". It's a gorgeous song. :-) But wow, 600 people! That's a pretty big audiance. =) I'll be praying for you!!! I know you won't get this until at least tomorrow since you're getting home so late, but you have my prayers for tonight! I hope all goes well -- but I'm sure it will.

God Bless!!!

Your Friend,
Dallas

Hi Dallas,
I really enjoy receiving your comments and e-mails. It's really encouraging to read them.
Thank you so much. I'll tell you more about the Awards Night in my next e-mail plus I'll be posting about it soon! Yes, it did go quite well, and I can't wait to tell you about it!
Love, your friend,
Rebekah

Okay, I'll re-send it. For some reason, I have written out your e-mail address wrong into our address book. So there is two addresses to you; one right, and one wrong. So hopefully, you'll get it now! : )
