Heart Shall Be Bolder

• Nov. 2, 2006 - And now, it is time for the traditional love sonnet ...

An Ode to that Drink, peerless among holiday beverages, which is beloved by the heart of Thor:

Pass on whiskey,

Pass on wine.

Pass on beer, and turpentine.

Rejoice!

Rejoice!

O words sublime ...

O Happy Day!

It's Egg Nog time!

But don't bother to mess with perfection. This poem was inspired five years ago on Nov 1st, and has annually made it's appearance on or about that historic date. Your attempts at literary critique are hereby shown the door.

And yes, I can say with confidence that the stores maliciously withhold the blessings of eggnog from the American people until after Halloween. There are a few enlightened locations for whom this is not the case, but generally speaking it is so. On the other hand, what better way to celebrate All Hallows Day (a day dedicated to the saints of the church)?

And what a pleasure it was. Your dad has helped me through so many tough spots with our county's superintendents as Ohio's HSLDA lawyer (I am the Miami Co. hs coordinator) and we will all miss him. Your mom is such a sweetheart and it was a pleasure to meet her, too.

I wanted to thank you for your part in the video segments of their presentations. Your repsonses and especially your (and your siblings') brave testimonies are priceless. We were especially glad that your folks allowed the world to discover toe kissing until one is forgiven!

My husband and I hope that their step of faith will be utterly blessed. It was well worth attending and I will be recommending it highly.

Blessings from Ohio, Kim Wolf<><
